I'll Always Remember You

Rocky's POV

A rush of feelings stormed inside me. The excitement, fear, and joy at being told that you were going to be a father. I picked Nicki up and spun her around. I kissed her as I sat her down and grinned bigger than anyone ever has.

"We are having a baby???" I asked. Hoping to confirm what I had heard.

"We are having a baby." she smiled.

Pure joy overcame me. Something I hadn't felt since Nicki and I got married. Since then, Nicki and I hadn't been as romantic as we were. Living together was much different and after a while we weren't sure what to do anymore, but this was what we had needed. We were now starting a family. Soon enough we would have to take care of someone else, and they would keep us busy. Part of that realization frightened my inner core. Our lives would never be the same. I'd never have Nicki to myself again.

The doorbell rang and Nicki darted up the stairs screaming "MAAADDDIIIEEE!" the whole way up. I chuckled and followed her, but at a much slower pace.

Riker's POV

Maddie had literally dragged me out of the house and to the car. After I had married her, I realized just how fun life with her was. She did the craziest things, but at the same time looked like a supermodel while doing it. Apparently Nicki had something to tell us.

I was honestly excited. I hadn't really been able to talk with Nicki and Rocky much lately. Every time we visited, the rest of the family swarmed in too.

Maddie must have rang the doorbell 50 different times, but Nicki opened the door with new enthusiasm than I had ever seen.

Wow. This must be some big news.

Nicki and Maddie embraced, but Maddie was ready to cut to the chase.

"Living room. Now." Maddie demanded.

"Well, I think we should go downstairs. Rocky kinda bought me an entire new wardrobe."

"What a nice husband. Riker and I have a present for you guys, but we will give it to you after you tell us the news."

Nicki lead us downstairs, Rocky trailing behind.

We all sat on the couch and Nicki smiled.

"You guys are going to be an aunt and uncle."

Maddie squealed and I stared in shock. Maddie got up and hugged Nicki and Rocky, and I followed right behind. I squeezed Nicki and said my congrats. This would be the first Lynch grandchild, and my little brother was the father of it.
