I'll Always Remember You

Gone

Nicki's POV

I took Rocky's hand. It was time.

"I love you Rocky. I'm going to miss you. Promise me that everyday of Riley's life, you'll tell her that I love her. Don't forget to give her the letters."

"Forever."

I took my last breath, and I was gone.

Rocky's POV

Those last words were forever instilled in my heart. I sobbed as the family came rushing in. They all sobbed around me. Ross ran outside and started throwing rocks while screaming. Amanda was holding Riley, as great sobs overcame her. It was over. The one that I held so near and dear to my heart was gone.

For the next few days, I was a zombie. The only person that brought me back was Riley. I had to be there for her. I sent Riker and Maddie home, determined to make it. Each night I cuddled with Riley, hoping that Nicki would just appear beside us, but she was gone.

Riker's POV

I had never cried so hard in my life. Each night Maddie and I held each other while sobbing. We had lost our sister. We both cared so much about her. We talked about Riley. We were going to take care of her. I had promised Nicki, and I wasn't backing out.

"I want Riley to grow up knowing that we love her." I whispered to Maddie.

"She will. I'm going to call Rocky tomorrow and ask if he wants to come over with her."

"It'll be good for him to get out of the house."

"Would you mind taking care of Riley while I took him to eat or something?"

"Not at all. You're his best friend. He needs someone to talk to, and that's you."

"Thanks babe."

Ross' POV

Poor Amanda watched me throw things, stomp, and scream for a week after Nicki's death. I couldn't handle it. She was gone, and she left a baby that looked exactly like her behind. I wanted Nicki back, but I promised myself and Nicki that Riley would be my world. I would help her grow up.

"Ross, do you want to visit the grave?" Amanda asked quietly.

"Soon, but not today."

*No POV*

Rocky took the letters from his back pocket and handed them to everyone. He instructed them to read them when they were all alone with no distractions. They chatted for a while before all leaving. Except Riker. Maddie went home with Rocky, and Riker stayed at the gravesite.

I wanted to put an idea out here and have all of you comment your opinions! After this sequel is completed, I will be starting a brand-new fanfic with brand new characters (well, besides R5) called My Nightmares! I'm super excited to get it out there so I want it to be next. But how do you guys feel about me making another sequel to this fanfic called Raising Riley? You'll learn a lot about how Riley copes without having her mother in her life as she grows up. I thought that since this fanfic was so sad, I could give you a break by putting out My Nightmares, and then after that completion, I could bring you back to this story! Please comment your opinions!
