Chapter 11

Nandini had her Sunday well spent. Tanu and Nandini first went for shopping. Although  Nandini said she didn't need anything, Tanu dragged Nandini along with her saying 'You don't have to have any need for shopping. Shopping is for fun!'

After their shopping spree, they went to the Inorbit mall as Tanu said it was amazing. They roamed and roamed till their legs gave up and stomach started growling for food. Having a sub from Subway and a softie ice cream, they headed back home. After dropping Nandini, Tanu made her way to the hostel as she had her assignment pending.

It was late afternoon when nandini reached her house. As soon as she opened the door of her flat, she was surprised to see Fab 4 sprawled across the living room. She also saw 2 other faces along with them sitting on the sofa. They seemed familiar. Manik was nowhere to be seen.

Cabir noticed her enter and came forward to greet her. It was only Cabir from the Fab 4 with whom she was comfortable and had a conversation. She wasn't open with the others yet.

'Nandini!' Cabir shouted coming towards her and that's when the others noticed her.

'Kaha thi tum yaar...kabse wait kar raha hu...aao tumhe sabse milata hu' Cabir said dragging Nandini with him where others were sitting.

'Yeh Abhi hai...I mean Abhimanyu...Mukti's boyfriend.' Cabir pointed over to the guy sitting beside Mukti.

'Hi' Abhi came forward for a handshake and smiled warmly at Nandini.

'Hi' Nandini replied forwarding her hand with a smile.

'Aur ye hai Navya...my girlfriend...Tumne inhe Colg me dekha hoga' Cabir said gesturing towards Navya who was now standing beside Cabir

'Hey' Navya said with a big smile and threw her arms around Nandini for a hug. Nandini returned the same. She already started liking Navya.

'Aur guys ye Nandini hai' Cabir announced and Nandini gave a smile to all.

Just then Manik came out of his room all ready in his black tshirt and jeans looking handsome as always with his hair perfectly jelled up.

'Nandini ye Manik hai' Cabir said hiding his smile and pointing towards Manik.

Manik gave Cabir a very annoyed look with a raised eyebrow indicating 'what the hell is this?!'
Nandini was just looking between the two friends.

'Nandini tum bhi aarahi ho na hamare sath?' Navya asked gaining all the attention.

'Kaha?'

'Aree humlog movie dekhne jaa rahe hai...tum bhi chalo bohot maza aaega' Navya said excitedly

'Umm...nahi Navya...tum log jao' Nandini said as she was feeling odd going with them

'Aree chalo na Nandini...don't be a spoilt sports' it was Cabir this time

Nandini was about to answer negatively when Manik said
'Come down in 5 mins...we are waiting downstairs....lets go guys' Manik practically ordered her

Cabir just shrugged and followed Manik towards the lift where Manik was already waiting, others following him.

Having no choice, Nandini walked to her room to fresh up and go.

All of them settled in two cars, Manik, Nandini, Cabir, Navya in one and the rest in the other car.
When they reached, the girls waited outside the theatre while the boys went to buy the tickets.

This was the time when Nandini was bonding up with the girls. They talked about themselves, getting to know each other.
This is when Nandini got to know fab 5 were friends since school as they shared the same school. She felt delighted to know that their friendship is from a very long time and prayed that it remains the same.

'Waise guys, hum konsi movie dekh rahe hai?' Asked Nandini

'Pata nahi' replied Mukti

'What do you mean by pata nahi....hum movie dekhne aae hai aur yehi nahi pata konsi dekhni hai?'

'Aree Nandu...tum tension kyu Leti ho...jo movie lagi hogi dekh lenge' Navya shrugged

Nandini nodded. Meanwhile the boys came with tickets in their hand.

'Konsi hai?' Mukti asked

'The conjuring 2' Abhi shrugged.

'Koi horror movie hai' Dhruv added some more info and  headed towards the hall with others following behind him.

Nandini just stood there rooted to her place. Manik noticed her and asked

'Kya hua...tum Thik ho na?'

'To chalo'

She nodded and lowered her head, still not moving ahead. All the others had entered the hall leaving the two of them behind.
Manik crossed his arms around his chest and raised an eyebrow demanding an explanation.

'Wo...wooo'

'Wo kya??'

'Promise karo mujhpe hasoge nahi'

'Hmm promise'

'Woo...mujhe horror movies se darr lagta hai' Nandini said with a very low voice, her eyes tightly closed and Manik had a smile on his face with amusement.

'Kya...kya kaha tumne?'

'Muj..mujhe horror movies se darr lagta hai' she repeated, her head still low

'Kya...phirse kehna'

' Wo mujhe...' This time she raised her head and saw Manik looking at her with a mischievous smile

'Ughhh Manik...kuch nai jao' she said irritated and started to go towards the hall when Manik held her hand and turned her.

' Acha sorry sorry...tum dar kyu rahi ho...tum akeli thodi ho...hum sab hai na sathme'

Nandini just hummed

' mai hu na tumhare sath...do you trust me?' Manik asked with hopeful eyes

Nandini looked in his eyes and found herself drowning in them. She nodded subconsciously still looking at him and this caused Manik smile to the fullest.

'To chalo phir' saying this Manik draped an arm around her shoulder and both of them headed towards the hall.
