Chapter 13

'Nanduu....tum mujhe kyu khichke lai yaha ?' Tanu asked Nandini who was dragging her mercilessly holding her hand towards the auditorium, filled with cheering crowd.

It was the day when Manik had his performance along with fab 5. Nandini didn't want to go alone and so she dragged Tanu who was the least interested.

'Kyu ke tum meri best friend ho' Nandini simply replied. They were standing in the queue to get inside.

'You know na mujhe ye crowd and itni loud noise pasand nahi hai. Tum kisi aur ko sath le aati. Why didn't you ask shahid?'

'Mai shahid ko kyu puchu jab tum ho mere sath...Tumhare sath maza aata hai and I love you...you know na'

Tanu looked suspiciously at her and raised an eyebrow.

'Tumne shahid ko pucha tha...haina' Tanu asked crossing her arms around her chest.

'Wo busy tha' Nandini lowered her head.

'Ohh...isiliye mai yaad aai' Tanu said faking hurt.

'Come on Tanu, tumhe pata hai na I love you' saying this Nandini put her arms around Tanu.

'Chalo ab' Tanu said shaking her head and both of them made their way to their places. They were given place a few rows from the stage.

In the crowd, they met a few of their classmates who had also come to see the most handsome guy of their college perform. Nandini started talking with them while Tanu made herself busy with her mobile.

Fab5 was not only famous in their college but other colleges also. It was a very famous band and had huge fan following which was increasing rapidly.

After the host came on the stage and welcomed the crowd, she announced that fab5 will be performing in a few minutes. That was when the crowd cheered loudly calling for fab5 eagerly.

Suddenly, the lights went off and a dim light was focused on the stage. Cabir, Mukti, Dhruv and Alya took their places but Nandini couldn't find the one for whom she had come.

The music started playing but there was no trace of Manik. This made Nandini worried. Why isn't he here yet she thought.
That was when she heard his voice and a figure along with guitar coming on the stage. She left a breath of relief she didn't know she was holding.

There he stood with all his glory, dressed in a black tshirt and a blue blazer, with black pants. His hair nicely gelled up, his perfect face calling for all the attention available. No doubt the girls cheered louder than before.

Nandini's eyes couldn't leave the sight of him even for a second. She noticed every movement of him. She could see he was searching something, or maybe someone in the crowd. That was when their eyes met, and both of them had a huge grin in their faces.

When the song was done, Nandini was the loudest to cheer, that was what Tanu thought as she was beside Nandini. She couldn't believe how excited Nandini was, jumping and clapping. She had noticed her during the whole song. If it was in her hands, Nandini wouldn't even blink.

While going out of the stage, Manik looked at Nandini directly in her eyes with a smile. She knew it was for her even though she was surrounded by many girls. That's when he grinned and winked, going towards the backstage.

Nandini opened her mouth in an o. She hadn't realised this was noticed by others as well, but got it confirmed when a few people in front turned and gave her looks. She felt heat rising up to her cheeks and therefore lowered her head.

'Oh no' Tanu said suddenly and that was what drew Nandini's attention towards her. Fab5 had returned to their green room and the crowd had also started to leave as a result, words spoken could now be heard.

Tanu had a shocked look on her face as she looked at Nandini. Nandini had a question mark on her face figuring out the look on her friends face.

'Abh samaj aaya mujhe' Tanu said with wide eyes

'Kya samaj aaya?' Nandini asked now completely confused.

'You like him' Tanu said as if she herself wasn't believing what she had just told.

'Kyaa' it was now Nandini's turn to be shocked.
