'Nandu, mai jogging ke liye jaa raha hu.' Manik said coming into the living room after a few days since the Soha incident.

Nandini nodded her head with a small smile, removing her attention from the laptop as he gave a small kiss on her forehead and headed towards the exit.

Nandini looked back at the screen where her almost complete assignment was open. She was working on it for almost two hours. Stretching her back due to the stiffness, he retied her hair in a messy bun and just then she heard her phone ring.

Smiling at the name of the caller, she answered.

'Aaj suraj kaha se nikla hai bhai. Kisi ne saamne se call kiya. Kya baat hai!!'

'Oh come on yaar Nandu, tumhe pata hai na hamari exams chal rahi hai... Aur mai tumhari tarha koi scholar to hu nahi... Hame din raat padhai karni padhti hai...tum to-' Shweta started.

'Acha thik hai bas bas...mai samaj gai.' Nandini cut her laughing.

'Tumhari exams kabse hai?' She asked.

'Next week se.' Nandini shighed.

'Hmmm... Aur batao, kya haal hai?'

'Kuch nahi...just chilling.' Nandini shrugged.

'Oh really?'

'Yeah.'

'Aur baaki sab thik hai?' She asked.

'Agar tum Manik Aur mera puch rahi ho, to haa everything is perfectly fine.' Nandini defended.

'To phir kya baat hai?'

'Shweta...' Nandini sighed.

'Ab ye mat kehna ki sab thik hai. Itna to pehchanti hu tumhe... Agar tum nahi bataogi to mai guess karu?' Shweta asked seriously.

'Karo.' Nandini muttered.

'Tum phirse wohi kar rahi ho.' Shweta accused.

'Kya kar rahi hu?' Nandini asked confused.

'Wait kar rahi ho. Jab bhi tumhare sath kuch acha hota hai, tum kuch bura honeka wait karti ho.'

'Wo isiliye kyuki kuch galat hota hi hai.'

'Matlab tum yehi kar rahi ho na?'

'Nahi-haa. Ughh...mujhe nahi pata! It's just- yaad hai mujhe pehle jaisi feeling aati thi...junior college me.' Nandini said pushing the laptop aside.

'Haa.' Shweta said knowing exactly what was coming next.

'Wo phir se ho raha hai.'

Shweta stayed quiet for sometime before speaking up again.

'Tumhe pata hai ek study me bataya hai ke jab ek insaan ke sath kuch changes hote hai, ache ya bure, use bechaini si hoti hai jiski wajah se use lagta hai ke uske purani Pareshaniya aur darr wapas aagaye hai.'

'Shweta ab mere saamne ye gyaan baatna band karo.'

Nandini heard a sigh from other side. She knew Shweta would try to make Nandini forget about it as much as possible.

'I don't know. Shayad tum sahi keh rahi ho. Shayad mai hi zyada soch rahi hu. Itni time tak mai har chiz se sambhal ke chali hu ke ab samaj hi nahi aata kaise ruku.'
