Chapter 26

Okay I am really excited for this update and I am hoping for lots and lots of comments. Wanted to write this part from a long time....

So here it comes!

Manik hadn't spoken to her the entire time they were on the cliff. Nandini had thought that maybe after yesterday's car ride, they would have managed to be civil with each other.

There you go again Nandu. Wohi cheeze soch rahi hai jo kabhi nahi hone wala hai.

But being ignored by him was tougher than she had thought, when he looked so breathtakingly handsome by wearing just his shorts and sweatshirt. His messy hair managed to make him look sexy at the same time. The tattoo peeking from the back of his neck just wanted her to caress it. His little grown stubble giving him a ragged look. She wanted to feel his rough stubble in her soft hands. Sigh.

Ye kya soch rahi hai tu Nandu...

Nandini looked at Manik where he was standing with the other guys, Soha holding one of his arm as she excitedly talked about something. The desperation clearly showed on her face.

Aiyappa, ye lakdi ko na apne muh pe ek board laga kar ghumna chahiye... 'I want Manik desperately.' Huh bander kahi ki. Khud khadi nahi reh sakti kya ke Manik se chipki hui hai.

Other than her thoughts related to Manik, she was enjoying herself pretty much. The gang was really great, well most of them. Aryaman was a great company as he always kept cracking silly jokes. Shanaya had hinted her to stay away from him but Nandini didn't want to make judgements. She could decide for herself.

After having their lunch, most of them went back to the cliff. Some of the guys had jumped from the twenty feet cliff into the water while some went into the shallow side of the lake.

It seemed pretty fun but Nandini didn't know swimming or else she would have tried it.

And now, Nandini stood near the cliff with Aryaman, Sid and Disha. Nandini had changed her dress into a pair of jeans and top, her hair now freed from the band and we're now falling down till her waist.

'Tumhare khule baal bohot ache lagte hai.' Aryaman whispered in her ears.

Nandini's eyes snapped up to his face and she blushed a bit at the compliment.

Aryaman leaned more closer, his lips almost touching her ear and before she could move back to maintain a distance, he said,

'Tum yaha per pehli baar aai ho, you know that right.' He whispered so softly.

Aryaman was an attractive guy. But he didn't attract Nandini...not that way atleast. Nandini couldn't see him more than just a friend.

'Aur yaha ka ek tradition hai, which we follow for newcomers.'

Before Nandini could ask what he meant by that, she couldn't feel the ground underneath her. Aryaman carried her in his arms and threw her from the cliff and directly into the water. The last thing she heard was their loud laughter before her senses faded.

Manik straightened his arms as he jumped into the water. He went under and them came back up. His heard beating wildly when his eyes searched the water around him. He couldn't see her and his mind was giving up on him.

Trying to control himself, he took a deep breathe and went back inside. Without any goggles, he could see everything blurry but he couldn't do anything about it. He looked around, searching for her and came back to the surface. It went on a few times.
