Chapter 2

Warden Diana standing in front of them, One of her hands rested on her hips and her ugly face can be seen in a frown. She took a step inside the room and switched on the button next to the door. The small bulb in the room glowed making Nandini involuntarily shut her eyes tightly. She opened her eyes slowly adjusting with the bright light in the room.

'What is going on here?' Asked the warden accusingly.
Nandini drew her complete attention towards the Dian she calls who is fuming with anger with both her hands on her hips now.

'Mr. Malhotra' she called which bought Nandu's attention to the person who is on top of her. For the first time she looked up to the one who had caged her between her arms, looking towards the warden. She could see his hair slightly messed up, his nose and his perfect jawline. How can anyone look so perfect she thought. Nandu enough. Her hands were placed on his chest and his were on either side of her shoulders, their legs entwined.

'No boys should be seen in anyone's room in this hostel otherwise strict action will be taken' the words of warden echoed in the back of her mind. Her eyes widened and she looked back at the door. Diana was still in the fury.

Manik looked at the Dian standing in front of him. He had many past experience with her and another one was not at all in his favour. He was still in shock thinking how he landed up in front of the Dian from completing the dare he had come for doing, that is, kissing Soha. He felt pressure at his chest and looked done to see a girl who was not Soha. She pushed him with all the force and he landed up on the floor and stood up immediately. He gave her a hand but she ignored it and stood up by herself shooting a dangerous look towards him.

Manik wondered how did he get confused between her and Soha. He took in her appearance. Her height was almost as same as Soha but she was a lot shorter then him, her dark long hair reaching till her waist, the cute night dress she wore making her more cute. Manik could not take his eyes off her.

Nandini took a step towards the warden trying to explain but before she could utter a word, Diana interrupted, shooting daggers at Manik.

'Mr. Malhotra aap Yaha par kya kar raha ho wo bhi is waqt. Would you care to explain?'

'Ma'am this was a misunderstanding. Jo aap samajh-' he started but was again forced to keep shut when she placed a hand between them indicating to stop.

'Manik dear, agar koi aur hota to I would've bought it but with you I already have heard the same thing in the past' she intruded accusingly.

Nandini tried to handle the situation 'Diana ma'am jaise dikh raha hai waisa kuch bhi nahi-' her words came to a halt when Diana shouted

'Enough! Miss Murthy I want to see you in my office tomorrow'.

'Yes Dian-na ma'am' Nandini chided lowering her head
Manik saw a head pop in through the door. Soha, ye tumne acha nahi kiya. You had told me to come in this room saying you were alone. Nice try but I not let this go. Hamare breakup or whatever ka ye badla liya. Be ready for my comeback sweetheart' Manik thought and started making a comeback plan in his mind.

'I think it's time for you to leave Mr. Manik Malhotra' Diana interrupted his plan shooting daggers at him all the while. She barely reached his shoulders but her attitude was enough to bring anyone on his knees.

'Ye yes ma'am' Manik shuttered. He anyways needed to run before she could smell the alcohol from him or else he would land in a big trouble.He stormed through the door giving Soha a look that meant 'this isn't over' before walking down the corridor.

The next day after meeting the warden, Nandini was in search of that monster who tilted her world upside down. The warden had yelled at Nandini saying her name is doomed because of girls like her who does not have any respect of anyone and does such a low thing. In the end, She had given Nandini an ultimatum of 48 hours to vacate her room. Nandini had been crying until her best friend Tanushree consoled her.

Tanushree was her best friend from school. They had been a backup for each other. They were neighbours back in Mangalore and when Nandini got the scholarship in the space academy in Mumbai, Tanushree decided to tag along.

Tanu had been very supportive throughout but was one tough girl. A scratch on Nandini and Tanu could rip the head off the one who hurt her. There were absolutely no secrets between the two of them.

Nandini was now very worried as she had nowhere to go. The hostels nearby were full and the others were too far from the college. She didn't want to call her Chacha-Chachi in mangalore and give them stress. As it is, their financial conditions were not very good. Her Amms would also get very disturbed, so she decided against it.

Tanu had also tried a lot to convince the Dian but she wouldn't listen. Nandini had also seen the evil smile on her roommates face when they were being yelled at night. In fact Soha was the one who had bought the warden along with her. She knew something was going on between the two.Now Nandini had become angry for she was getting the punishment she didn't deserve. So she decided to remove her anger towards the monster because of whom she landed in this situation for first place-Manik Malhotra.
