Nandini had spent about two hours before she gave up and needed to go out for fresh air. In that two hours, they had sung Cabir a happy birthday, majority of the group had drowned themselves in alcohol, dancing on the floor as well as on the furniture with loud music blasting through the speakers, and also some couples making out in the corners.

Nandini went out of the house without letting Navya or Cabir know as she knew they would stop her somehow.

The whole time Nandini tried to forget everything and have fun. She pretended to enjoy for their sake but ended up having an awful time.

But after almost two hours, it was becoming harder for her to keep pretending. Hence, walking through the camp site and the bonfire, she went further away from the house to a quiet place.

The party wasn't bad. Infact, the others were enjoying themselves. Nandini would also have been doing the same, only if two people were not infront of her- Manik and Soha. For two hours, she had seen them together, very close to each other. And now, their image was imprinted in her mind forever.

She removed her sandals and sat down on a big rock, her legs merely touching the ground.

They were dancing together. No! That would not be covered under 'dancing'. It was Soha practically hanging on Manik.

And there was one more incident that had ripped Nandini's heart into pieces. Soha was almost sitting on his lap, whispering something in his ear, his arms were around her waist, her chest so close to his...

Nandini tried to blink away the tears that were threatening to fall. After taking a fee deep breaths, she had them under control.

At first, Nandini thought that maybe Manik was trying to make her jealous, but soon that thought disappeared. It seemed that Manik had completely forgotten that she existed, let alone kissed her a few hours ago.

Soha was clearly enjoying Manik's attention and Nandini's discomfort. She wondered why Manik was hurting her this way. What had she done to deserve such treatment from him.

But then she thought maybe he doesn't want to do anything with her. This is how he is and she can't change him. She meant absolutely nothing to him that is why he doesn't care if his actions affect her or not.

Nandini had been out for about fifteen minutes when she heard footsteps from behind her. She looked up in the dark. Manik. She couldn't help but hope it would be him but she knew it would probably be Aryaman.

'Tumhe nahi pata yaha bhoot hai?' Cabir asked jokingly as he took a place beside Nandini.

'So birthday boy ko fursat mil gai apne baalo me se cake nikalne se ?' Nandini asked looking at him.

'Yeah.' He chuckled.

Manik and Mukti had smashed Cabir's face in the cake saying it is a part of Fab5's tradition which is why Cabir had to take a shower.
