As she opened her mouth to scream, a hand went straight to her mouth, preventing her from shouting. After that, she heard a chuckle. It sounded familiar. His lips moved near her ears, almost touching it as he said

'Hey, I am back!'

'Oh god, Manik!' She said as soon as he removed his hand and slightly pushed him at his chest. He chuckled, taking a step back.

'Yeh kya tha?' She asked trying to control her breath.

'What kya tha...tumhe dhyan se chalna chahiye na itni raatko'

'So you're telling me this was to teach me to be attentive taake koi mujhe kidnap na karle?'

'Duh...why else would I pull you and pin you up against the wall?' He asked with a smirk.

Nandini rolled her eyes, even though she knew he couldn't see her face clearly in this darkness.

'So congratulations... Your performance was amazing'. She smiled.

'Thank you... Tumhe pasand aaya?'

'Yeah...bohot acha tha....so tumne gana kisse sikha?' She asked softly.

That was when a look crossed on his face which Nandini couldn't recognise. Hurt...maybe??

'Mere bhai se'.

'Cousin?' She asked as she remembered him telling that he only had an elder sister.

'Nai... My real brother...he died in a car accident. He was 5 years older to me.'

'Ohh I am so sorry manik'

She was quiet for a few minutes. His mother and his brother both? Were they in the same accident? She also knew how it felt to loose someone they love. It hurts beyond anything.

'It was a long time ago.... I remember him teaching me how to hold a guitar, and strumming it along with me. The guitar no one was allowed to even touch, I was the only exception. He was brilliant.'

'Seems like he was an amazing brother.' She said softly.

'He was' he smiled.

'He would be proud of you if he saw you back there on the stage'

Manik chuckled. 'He would also beat me up for winking at all the girls back there'.

Both of them laughed. After a few seconds, they fell in silence. But it wasn't uncomfortable. Both of them staring at each other. Manik had a smile on his face and it was when Nandini couldn't take it anymore.

'Kya hua?'

'You...you fascinate me'

Nandini crossed her arms over her chest and leaned on the wall behind her.

'Acha....kyu?'

'Tum ek chalti phirti puzzle ho' he replied
