Dan went home and glared at his wall for a while.

Finding childhood memories could wait.

Right now, Dan had a sexuality to question.

Dan had had a girlfriend in the past. At an old school when he was 12. He remembered how it began and how they broke up and some of the bits in between.

Her name was Daisy. Brown hair, very beautiful... one of the popular ones. Maybe the fact he fell for a popular one didn't help. He was 12, innocent, and desperate.

Dan could tell Daisy had a thing for him too. She was suttle about it... but he knew. Dan had feelings back to her. So he asked her out and she, for some reason, said yes.

They went out for quite a long time and in the fifth month of there relationship, Dan received a call whilst he was hanging out with his girlfriend. His dad, who he looked up to a lot, had been submitted into hospital after being in a car crash with an extremely high and drunk driver.

Dan left Daisy's house in his moms car. Deep down, Dan knew Daisy hated him for leaving... but this was important.

A lot more important than the Disney marathon they had been having.

That day... his dad died. Too much blood loss caused Dan to lose his dad and Dan was shook up about it.

He knew he'd never recover from this.

Daisy, however, wasn't supportive at all.

She told Dan he wasn't "being himself" and that "he had changed". He was "No fun" because he didn't want to kiss Daisy... and that was because Dan knew Daisy had no idea what Dan was going through.

So on October 4th 2014, Daisy broke up with Dan. She said she hated him for thinking of himself over her and not letting her into his life.

"I TOLD YOU ABOUT MY DAD'S DEATH! HOW CAN YOU EXPECT ME TO JUST RECOVER?!" Dan yelled in his 'girlfriends' face, by now a crowd of nosey school kids surrounding the 'couple' as they glared at each other with daggers for eyes in the middle of the school canteen.

"AT LEAST LET ME HELP YOU!"

"YOU WEREN'T GOING TO HELP ME! YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT I AM GOING THROUGH!"

It was a key trait characteristic Daisy had where she would always brag about how her life was so perfect and how no one had died so far in her family in the space between her being born to that moment and no one had had any illnesses. Dan always ignored her ignorant comments... until they began to turn against him and his dead farther. His farther couldn't protect himself from what Daisy was saying about him.

So Dan would have to do it for him.

"I COULD HAVE!"

"HOW??!! YOU'VE NEVER HAD ANYONE IN YOUR FAMILY DIE! YOU ALWAYS BRAG ABOUT IT!" Dan yelled before he sighed, running a hand through his hair, "Leave me alone Daisy. I thought you knew me... but you obviously don't."

Since then, Dan had moved down from the small village of Wokingham to central London with his mom and younger brother Adrian who was at the time 4, Dan now realising Adrian was the same age as when Phil was when his mom died.

Dan sighed yet again as the memory passed. Time had flown by so fast since that had happened. Too quickly if anything. The 5 months in the same hospital bed wouldn't have helped either to be perfectly honest.

Dan was suddenly brought out of his thoughts when he heard a ping noise coming from his charging phone on the windowsill. Standing up, Dan went over and looked at his phone.
