The Payne Family

Chapter 13.

"I'm really sorry Liam, if you'd like, I can help search for them."Kim says softly, I shake my head.

"It's fine, I just need to go pick up my daughter and friend's son."I huff looking down, Kim nods and stands up.

"Well, good luck.."Kim says before leaving and closing the door.

Louis had already picked up James, Eleanor left without saying good-bye to James, now I have Kate laying down next to me on the bed lightly snoring as she sleeps. It's 11:34 pm, 6 hours since Danielle and Lucas have gone missing or kidnapped, whatever you wanna say. It was dark in my room except the moonlight reflecting off the windows, peering through the crack where the curtain isn't covering. All you could hear were the crickets and a few 'Hoos' here and there, Kate snuggles close to me for warmth as she continues to sleep. I close my eyes for the third time hoping I would sleep this time...I can't. I can't sleep when my 2 of my loved ones are missing, wondering where I am and why I aren't there to comfort them. My phone vibrates against my nightstand, I carefully grab it making sure I don't awaken Kate,

"Is this Liam Payne?"a voice asks, I clear my throat and answer.

"Yes."I say, but in a low voice.

"We've set out a seach team, and Missing papers."the person informs.

"Thank goodness..though who am I speaking to?"I ask, I have that small relief in me, but not the entire relief out.

"I am Christopher Johnson, detective, officer, etc."he replies.

"Okay, anything else I need to know?"I ask.

"We're gonna need you to come to the police station for more information."Christopher says, I bite my lip and glance over at Kate.

"Well I have my 3yr. old sleeping and can't leave her here alone..can I bring her along?"I ask.

"Not really, maybe drop her off somewhere, we can't have any children distracting other workers."Christopher says, I nod though he can't see me. Maybe the sweet elderly lady will watch Kate for me.

"Okay I'll be there in 15."I say, he hangs up, I get off the bed and throw on normal clothes before I take Kate next door.

"Hi Mrs.Chester, can you watch Kate for me. It's really important."I say.

"Of course, she's more than welcomed."Mrs.Chester smiles, she gestures me in her house, I place sleeping Kate on the couch and kiss her head.

"I'll be back as soon as posssible, thank you."I say before I leave.

I take a seat in the white room, it only had a meeting table and chairs in the center of the medium sized room. I wait a few minutes until a guy, maybe around his mid 20's, brown dark brunette hair that was quiffed back but geled., grey eyes, and somewhere around 5'8-5'10. He took a seat across the table and cleared his throat.

"Hello Mr.Payne, we're just going to need more info. about..Lucas Niall Payne, and Danielle Claire Payne."his voice, it was Christopher.

"Please, call me Liam, and okay."I say nodding.

"So when was the last time you saw them?"Christopher asks.

"I went to go pick up my bestfriend's son, then when I came back, there was hole near the kitchen door and I went inside and saw glass shattered from the kitchen window."I answer, he was writing it down. He asked me a million questions and I answered a few of them since some of them I couldn't answer.

"Do you know anyone that would possibly kidnap them?"He asks, I shake my head.

"Well that's it for now, head home get some rest, You look like you need it."Christopher says standing up, I nod and follow him out the room.

"Daddy, I miss Lulu and mommy."Kate says quietly looking at her untouched cereal.

"I know princess, so do I."I say sighing, usually if Danielle and Lucas were here with us right now, Lucas would be telling us the same jokes that would make no sense but we would still laugh and Danielle would tell us what she's planning to do for the day but sometimes ends up never doing it.
