-Chapter 9-
~Ding dong~
I rang the doorbell of a huge mansion. My hand reached into my pocket to fish my phone out. I pressed into my message inbox for the second time to double check. Was this the house or was I lost? Aaron logged it into the GPS, it had to be right. Right? There is no way we typed it wrongly into the GPS. Maybe the text was wrong.
This house was incredible to look at from the outside, a big house on it's own with an enormous garden and a pool at the side. This text had to be lying. Tony and Kyle did not look like the kind of guy who were rich. Right?
"Hi, who is..." someone opened the big wooden door. "Oh hey best friend!" Tony said looking a little shock but elated. "So, Ashley, what brings you to our humble home?" he said and gestured me to enter his giant house.
"Humble? You have got to be joking." I chuckled and was exploring his beautiful house.
"What do you expect me to say? Welcome to my massive expensive house?" he laughed with me joinning in a second late.
"You could just say home." I rolled my eyes at him.
"How did you get here? Or even find it?" he asked me with curiousity. Tony never told anyone where he lived. Everytime he is paired up with someone for a project, he would go to the other person's house. None of his friends ever came here.
"I followed you home yesterday." I joked but his eyes widen.
"Ha-ha real funny." he finally said sacastically after staring at me. "Seriously, how did you find this place?" he said sounding serious.
"Ashley? Is that you? Guess I was right when I heard the doorbell." Kyle said walking down the long twirling stairs.
"Kyle invited you here?"
"Yes"
"Why?"
"Project partners."
"Shakespeare project?" he kept shooting me questions.
"Yea. Why do you keep asking question? Do you not want me to see your house for some reason?" I asked inquisitively.
"Yes! I mean NO!'' he answered without thinking. "No. No. I was just wondering.' he gave a fake smile.
"Hiding something I see?'' I gave a 'I dont trust you' look and rubbed my chin.
"No. I just.. It is just.. I can explain.. Ahh Nevermind." he groaned and walked away while Kyle and I laughed.
"Wow this place is so cool and expensive. This house really must cost a fortune with all the antique vases, pool, and huge television." I said as I walked in beside Kyle.
''What is wrong with Tony anyway? Why was he so shock to see me here?'' I inquired.
"We normally do not invite anyone to the house. This is kind of the first time.'' he answered.
"Why?'' I said sounding really curious.
"I dont know. I guess we are not the type that look really rich and we dont want people to know. They are a lot of fake people around.'' he said and I raised an eyebrow." You know, the type who befriends a person because they can use them like the person's wealth or popularity.'' he carried on talking and I listened understandingly.
