Chapter 36 - Last Chapter

-Chapter 36-

There was a moment between breath where you could feel your blood flowing through your veins and your heart beating with every second that pass. My mind was blank and my eyes were closed. I could feel my chest rising up and down everytime I breathed.

I could hear voices from where I was. In the beginning it was all blurry but slowly it cleared up and I could hear what they were saying.

"Go to sleep Aaron." a voice that sounded like my dad said.

"Fine." Aaron whined and I heard footsteps leaving the room I was in.

"Hey boys, we will be leaving for a while. Take care of her will you? Call us if anything happens." my dad said, voice filled with concern and pain.

"Okay Mr Evans." a guy said that I presumed was Tony and I heard the door close. They must have left. I tried lifting my eyelids to tell everyone I was fine but I couldnt. Did I faint again? Did my cancer come back?

"Do you think she can hear us?" I think Kyle asked.

"The doctor said that when a person in coma is about to wake up they can. But chances of them remembering it is slim." Tony answered. Oh coma. Why was I in coma?

I could hear them, did that mean my system was coming back and working again? My body is waking up? Coma? Why was I in coma? Why does my shoulder hurt like crap? It was impossible to even move it.

"Hey Ashley? If you can hear us, please wake up soon. Everyone is dead worried. Especially your dad. All of us are seriously traumatize. Please wake up so that we know everything will be fine." Kyle told me.

"Yea. Give us a sign." Tony said, nervousness in his tone.

As much as I wanted to move a part of my body to tell them I can hear them, my body worked against me. I had no control of my muscles, I felt so weak and numb.

"I need to get something to eat. You guys want anything?" Tony asked.

"I'll go with you. The Brannon brother are at the cafeteria right?"

"Yeap. Jake? Anything for you?"

The word Jake made me wanted to smile. What was he doing here?

"No." he said flatly.

"You need to eat. I'll just get you a bread. We'll be back." Tony sighed and I heard the door creak open again indicating them leaving.

The room was peaceful and I felt a warm feeling on my hand. A sparked bolted through my body, letting me know that his skin touched mine.

"Hey Evans." he held my hand in his. "I hope you can hear me because I am going to do something I would never pull off while you are awake."

He gave my hand a little squeeze before he continued talking. "I am sorry. I am sorry for everything. I didnt know Tim would do should a thing. A few months back which was before I met you, he came up to me. He knew my problems and my current life." He knew Tim? What was he talking about? What did the guy Tim want with Jake? Why was he telling me this? Most of all who is Tim? Who is Tim?!?
