-Chapter 27-
"Hey coach." I said jogging towards him.
"What happen to you?" The question caught me off guard.
"What? What do you mean?"
"Look at you! You lost weight." he frowned. "You arent the type of girl who starve themselves to look good."
"I am not. Guess I have not been eating properly." I shrugged and got ready to run with the other girls.
"Missed out on meals?" he asked, still frowning at me.
"I never miss a meal." I shook my head and did a little stretching before I jogged up to my lane.
"Ashley. Bench." he said pointing at the bench and I raised an eyebrow. "You're going to have to sit out of today's training." he ordered and I raised my eyebrow.
"WHAT? WHY?" I hated being benched and not being able to run. It was torturing to see others run while I was benched. Coach knew that and whenever I was late, he would punish me this way which pissed me off.
"I was on time!" I protested.
"It is not about whether you are on time or not. Get out of the lane now." his stern voice made me kick a bottle in my way.
"I have to be benched just because I lost a little weight?"
"Yes. And you have bruises everywhere. Look at yourself! You look a little pale too. Go and see the nurse." he said and I groaned.
"I'm perfectly fine!"
"No. I mean it. Go see the nurse or go home and rest. Either one. You're not running today and it is final." his voice was stern and annoyed. I kicked another bottle in my way, snatched up my gym bag and sulked away to the bleaches of the football field. I had to wait for Aaron to finish. I felt my head hurting again.
Sitting there with throbbing pain, I flashed back to when the first time I passed out here. I could have fell to my death here. How could I be so careless?
"Ashley!" Tony called out waving to me from the field. I smiled waving back.
"Watch me do a touchdown for you!" he yelled jogging backwards to the middle of the field. I blew him a kiss and gave him a thumbs up. He pretended to catch my kiss and placed it at his chest, I giggled. I sneaked a quick glance at Kyle who was shooting daggers at his twin brother feeling jealous.
"Oh hey Ash." I heard someone else call me.
"James!?!"
"Why so shock to see me?" he laughed.
"What are you doing here?"
"I have to wait till Zach finish with football practice so we can go home together. I assume you're waiting for Aaron right?"
"Yeap." I said popping the 'p'. "What happen to your car?"
"Not mine, Zach's. He sent it for servicing." he smiled. "I think I should drive you home now." his smile disappeared, replaced by worried eyes.
"Why?"
"You look pale. I think you need some rest."
"I think you're right. My head hurts." I agreed and we took out our phones. He texted Zach while I texted Aaron.
