-Chapter 33-

"Pink or Yellow?" I mumbled to myself, holding up the two colour pencils. Which will suit the season?

"I'd say yellow. Yellow like the sun." Someone said, making me jump.

"Sun is not yellow daddy!" a cute boyish voice said.

"Oh really Mike? What is it then?" my dad said and picked him up. He put him down on the bed and started to tickle him.

"O- Oran-nge!" Mike said in between laughs. Both them looked so cute. Father and son. Something my dad always wanted and finally gotten.

I started colouring my design with yellow and add a little orange.

"Nice! How is everything going?" my dad said leaving the panting on my bed.

"This is my 5th design for this line. We have a meeting next week, if he chooses mine, I have to be back in the office to make sure they do their job properly."

"Who do what job properly?" Mike asked. His innocent cute made me pinch his cheeks.

"For the tailors to follow my design properly." I told him and he nodded, taking my designs on beach dresses to have a look.

"Looks pretty. Are you going to wear it?"

"No. It is for work Mike. Do you want to wear it?" I asked cheekily.

"Noooo!!" he said making a cute disgusting face. "Mike is a boy. I dont wear dresses."

"You can if you want to." I smiled, then laughed at his funny face.

"We'll leave Ashley to do her work." he pulled Mike and turned to me. Dinner in an hour Ash!"

I finally got to meet the other runners. Some of them were nice and some of them were cocky.

Such as a girl name Lindsay. She assumes that she is the best, being the eldest, she orders everyone to do stuff for her. It was annoying and I couldnt stand her. Me and cocky is not a good combination. Which was why we didnt get along. I accidentally blurted a swear word when she asked me to make coffee. I mean, it was not nice to say it but she totally deserved it. Well, after I said the B word, she literally went into rage mood, kicking bottles everywhere, and yelling at people.

I made some friends, who were humble. I mean they were nice, one of them even reminded me of Taylor. She was a sweetheart.

I was not put into the relay team in case I had to bail out. Mr Kenneth felt really guilty and was apologising a billion times and kept explaining why he did what he did. I was trying to calm him down as I wasnt mad but he kept insisting that I didnt look mad on the outside but he bet I was furious in the inside.

I was not angry at all. I totally understood what he was thinking. I mean even if he put me in, I would decline. I remembered clearly joining the hurdles, 100m and 200m 2 years ago and had to forfeit because I was not feeling well. If I join the relay team and this were to happen again, the whole team will be disqualified if one member cannot run. They dont accept replacement runners. I didnt want to be in the way so I didnt want to join relay.

After a century of persuading him I was not angry, he finally believed me.

So next week is Nationals, and here I was freaking out for prom instead. Okay I was freaking out about everything. Prom was a day after Nationals.
