Hello hello, so I changed the name of this story from Midnight Chamomile to Fate if you havent noticed. (Or because you started reading after I changed the name) This chapter might be a wee bit boring. Just a heads up. It is mostly about the competition and running. I am sorry if it bores you, I will try to make it up to ya'll in the next chapter. But hope ya'll will enjoy it either ways.
Thanks for reading. Please dont forget to comment and vote. :)
Lots of love

-Chapter 22-
We were on the track field again after a day of relaxation.
Competition day 1.
My heart was racing as we entered the field. The stadium was crowded with people and all athletes were doing their warm ups, their face showed determination. I had been to multiple competition and race. From being representatives for school to state. This year, I could finally try for the nationals again. Coach always said I was not ready and I had problems being professional when handling emotions. It was true, I get nervous easily and when I do I cannot eat or I will puke everything out. When I don't eat, I lack energy. When He finally allowed me to enter, I went for the trials the year before that, but had to excuse myself from the race to puke.
Every time I enter the stadium, I could feel the tension in the air. Everyone wanted to win, everyone trained hard for it and everyone was going to give their all. Did I do enough?
"Did you bring enough Gatorade for all of us?" Cassandra asked Hayley who was our water girl. She went to the box to count.
"I guess. If we run out, I will go get some more." She replied.
"Girls, places for warm up. Today is the day. You can do it girls!" Coach ordered us and we were in a circle doing stretches.
"Event 1. Runners for 100 metres, please proceed to the registry counter."
Taylor and I made our way to the counter. My eyes widen as I saw the same Asian girl. My heart was pumping at top speed. What was her time? Was it possible to beat her? I got second as I lost to her for round 3 of hurdles, she must be fast. I was starting to worry.
We took our lane and dashed to the finishing line when we heard the gun shot. The Asian girl was not running. She apparently did not join the 100m. Thank goodness. I could feel my adrenaline rushing through my veins as I sprinted. A blonde girl was on my tail, with less than half a step away. I couldn't sprint full energy because I had more events coming up.
With a goofy grin on my face, I jogged back to coach and our bench. The board flashed my name and time at the first place, a blonde girl in second and Taylor at the third place. A sense of relief washed over me. One event down, 6 more to go.
I scanned the crowd cheering on their family members or friends only to spot 2 huge banner with my name on it. It was my dad, Aaron and the Brannon family. I couldn't help but smile at them. They looked so adorable waving the 'Go ASHLEY' banner. Beside them was Kyle and Tony.
Kyle.
No one was going to spoil my mood today.
Not a guy.
Not my feelings.
Today and tomorrow will be full concentration on the track.
All that mattered now was the 6 medals I needed to earn.
All of them were waving vigorously at me when Zach pointed at me. They caught me looking and I waved back. It was hilarious as they kept shouting my name and cheering for me. It was crazy how they all came. I expected only my dad to be around.
