I can't say that I'm angry
Because I am not
But that doesn't stop me from having questions
I see my little brother cry
He doesn't do that a lot
He's crying for you, grandpa
I don't know what he's thinking
Is he just upset that you're gone?
Because I am too
But he looked up to you, grandpa
You inspired him in so many ways
Did you know that?
I saw you as a man, my grandfather
Who was the jokester, you taught us manners
You taught me how to take my coffee best
You taught me things about life
You taught me respect
To him, you were inspiring
You taught him how to fix things
You taught him how to treat his elders
You even gave him his first haircut
You told us stories
We could never tell if they were true or not
Sometimes, they were just stories
Sometimes they taught lessons
I'm not crying, I just think of questions like,
Why?
Even if I already know the answer
He is crying, however
I'm not sure what he's thinking, I don't know if he has questions
He's trying to be strong, like you taught him to
It's the saddest thing I've seen
You see, he's still a kid
He doesn't understand things I do
But he's staying strong because of you
Aren't you proud of him?
