2 weeks later
Rydel's P.O.V
I'm worried. Very worried. Laura hasn't came out of her room since Raura broke up (that's their couple name I made up). She won't let any of the guys in, including my dad, which kills him because he thinks of Laura as his little girl too. She'll only let my mum, me, Sab and Liv in. My mum brings her food and gave me a note to give to the principal. It just said that Laura wasn't well enough to come to school and that she wouldn't be until further notice. While this had been going on, no one though I'd Ross. Fair enough, it was his fault that she was like this but he could be hurting just as much as she was. I have been watching him for the last couple of days and I can see his old ways coming back.
I call the only person who knows how to deal with Ross when he's like this (apart form Laura). His childhood best friend Annie. "Hey Annie!" I called through the phone.
"Rydel?" She asked.
"Yep!"
"AHHHH! I haven't seen you in AGES!"
"I know!"
"What did you need me for?"
"It's Ross," I say, getting serious, "he was in an amazing relationship and we were all at a concert recently and he said something that messed the whole thing up and now she won't come out of her room and I think Ross is falling back into depression!"
"Ok," she says slowly, taking everything in, "1. What did he say this time? And 2. She lives with you guys!?!"
"1. He won't tell mid am neither will she and 2. It's a long story, just ask Ross when you get here. We need you Annie!"
"I'm on my way!" She shouts as she hangs up.
Ross's P.O.V
Who knew a wall could be so interesting. I mean it's white and it's flat and...oh who am I kidding? This wall is the only thing separating me from Laura and I've been looking at it for hours now. I still have to go to school, but Laura doesn't. I mean I get it, she's a lot more broke than I am, but it pains me so much to see her like this. I just wish I could spill everything to someone. someone who wasn't there, who didn't watch it unfold, someone who didn't - knock knock. I didn't reply. I didn't get up to unlock my door. I didn't care who was at the door, I didn't want to speak to anyone. The door opened and someone walked in. I didn't even mind that they'd picked the lock on my door like I usually would. "Ross, what are you doing to yourself?" A female voice says. It wasn't Rydel, not my mom and definitely not Laura. Who was - ANNIE! I was excited to see her, don't get me wrong, but I still didn't want to speak to anyone so I just sat there. I shrugged and kept looking at the wall. She grabbed my arm and pulled me to my feet, making me follow her down the stairs. "Aw baby!" My mom says coming over and hugging me. I hugged her back and then collapsed onto the couch. Annie sat down beside me and asked, "So, why does she live here? Tell me everything!" I explained how I found Laura and everything about Bella and our break up. "It was your fault..." she said slowly, almost like she was trying to ease me into the pain. Even though I already knew this, it still hit me like a rock. I nodded and hung my head. She hugged me and then pulled away slowly. She looked my straight in the eye and started to lean in...
Laura's P.O.V
I decided I was being ridiculous. I just needed to face Ross. I wouldn't have o talk to him. I would go to school with Riker or Rydel and come home with them as well. I would stay with Liv or Sab during classes and sit with them at lunch. I stand up slowly from my bed and walk over to my door, opening it slightly to see if anyone was there. When I saw no one was I started quietly walking down the stairs I was near the bottom when I saw it. Ross kissing another girl! She had her hands untangled in his hair pulling him closer to him. I just sat there in silence. When she let go of his hair he pulled away. "How could you?" I asked quietly. He turned around and looked at me. I ran up the stairs and locked my door sliding down it. I put my head and my hands and did what I've been doing for the last two weeks. Cry.
Ross's P.O.V
"I hate you!" I yelled at Annie. She smirked at me and said, "Isn't what Laura thinks!" Rydel ran into the room, obviously she had witnessed everything. She grabbed Annie's arm and dragged her to the door saying, "I called you because I trusted you Annie. I asked you to fix everything, what did you do that for?"
"I've always liked Ross, since kindergarten! But he was always telling me that I was such a good friend and I didn't want to ruin that-"
"You just did!" I butted in. She gave me a glare and continued, "when I heard you broke up with your girlfriend, I saw my chance and went for it!"
"Leave..." Rydel said. Annie didn't move and just looked at me as if I should be doing something.
"Leave!" Rydel said louder. Annie rolled her eyes, walked over to her car, got in and drove off.
