Laura's P.O.V
"Lee," I whispered. "What do you mean Lee?" Ross asked. A tear rolled down my face and onto Ross's and that was wrapped around mine. Ross stood up pulling me up with him. He pulled me down to the kitchen, the quietist place on the bus. He sat down on the chair and pulled me down on his lap. "What happened Laur? Tell me everything," He said quietly. "One Friday," I replied in the same tone, "I was at my locker. I only had one class left and so I was getting my books out of my locker. Lee walked up to me and started talking to me. He started off fine. Not really talking about much. Just making regular conversation." Ross nodded his head, waiting for me to continue. "Out of nowhere he started getting closer to me, telling me that you were never coming back, that I should just forget you and move on, to him. I told him I would never like him and that I knew you would come back and he didn't believe me. He kept saying 'no need to pretend anymore Laura, he's gone now. You and me for three more weeks and he'll never have to know' I kept telling him that I didn't like him at all and that I would never go out with him. He started getting really mad and asked me again about six times in a row, 'Do you love me? Will you go out with me?" I paused and Ross sighed, waiting for me to tell his what happened after that. "Of course I said no and he got really mad. He got so mad he slammed the locker door shut on my back. It started bleeding so I just drove home in your car. When I got home your mom wasn't there so i just got the first aid kit. It had stopped bleeding loads now, so I just plasters on the main cuts that were still bleeding. When your mom got home I pretended my teacher was sick and that's why I was home early." Ross sighed and said, "Why didn't you tell anyone?"
Ross's P.O.V
A couple of tears slid down her face and she hesitated. I kissed her forehead and she said, "I...um...he...h-he said I d-deserved it." She cried into my shoulder. "A-and why does he know?" She asked, sitting up, looking at me. "About what?" I asked. "Nessa," she whispered. "What do you mean?"
"He said 'maybe your sister Vanessa left because of the same reason your boyfriend did, to get away from you without you thinking it was your fault'" She cried. "That is not true," I told her. She rested her head on my shoulder again and said, "I know but I don't want to think about her. I don't want to know why she left and never came back." I sighed and said, "How sore is your back, we're going to go to the hospital to get it checked out." She lifted her head and stood up saying, "really, it's fine." I lifted her shirt to look a it again. I gently set one of my fingers against the cut, my finger barely touching it. She flinched in pain. "Laura, I don't think that's just a cut." She sighed and looked down. "Laura," I set, lifting her chin up with my finger, "How long ago was this?" She looked down again and said, "The day before you came back?" "The night we were on facetime?" I asked. she nodded her head and I sighed, "I'm taking you to the hospital now." "Ok," she whispered.
We walked back to our bunks, Laura pulling on some leggings instead if shorts, and a hoodie while I pulled on a top and a hoodie. We walked down to the front of the bus where my dad and Riker were taking it in turns to drive. "Laura and I are going somewhere, we're going to catch a cab," I told them. "Where?" My dad asked. "Nowhere," Laura said. I looked at her and she looked back at me, pleading my not to tell them. I looked back as Riker says, "Right...you need to go to nowhere at one in the morning, very convincing guys well done." Laura looked at me and nodded her head slightly. I roughly told them what happened with Lee, finishing with, "and if you don't mind I would like to take her to the hospital now."
