Ross's P.O.V
I walked through the airport and over to baggage claim. It was nine in the morning over here so I would definitely get to my house after Laura had left.
I thanked the cab driver and handed him my money. I walked up to the front door and knocked on it. My mom opened it and said, "Ross you really need to stop forgetting your keys." She turned around and started walking towards the kitchen again. She stopped suddenly and turned around slowly. She looked me up and down and then yelled, "ROSS!" I set my bags down and hugged her. "Why are you here?" I explained what happened with Laura and about my meeting with mr Jacks. She nodded the whole way through it and at the ends she hugged me again.
I parked my car in a space near the end of the car park and walked into the school unnoticed. I walked as quickly as I could to mr Jacks office. "Ross!" He exclaimed, "take a seat!" I sat down and explained everything. From Laura's breakdown to her results to her career to my career and back to Laura's breakdown. When I finished mr Jacks said, "Would you like me to be worried or honest?"
"Honest," I replied. "I saw this coming from a mile off!" He exclaimed. "Great so everyone could tell there was something wrong with Laura except me!" I sighed. "That's because she's been hiding it from you," mr Jacks told me, "no one else is going to worry about her as much as you will and certainly not enough to come back to help her when she's already with your mom and her legal guardian." I though about it for a while and said, "thanks mr Jacks."
"No problem! Now you better go and surprise her before you miss your chance!" He told me. Sure enough we had talked all through break and the session between break and lunch. "Bye mr Jacks. I'll see you when I get back from tour!" I said as I walked out the door. He waved as the door shut and I walked away to surprise Laura.
Olivia's P.O.V
"So traditionally Christmas is...?" Mr marrow asked. It was one of our break days between exams and mr Marrow decided we could do with taking our minds off of the exams. "Laura, do you know the answer?" He asked, looking at her. Laura didn't reply, just looked at him. "Laura?" He asked her. Some people in the class sniggered, some whispered, some rolled their eyes. But Sab, Parker and I knew exactly what was wrong, and the sooner this class was over the better. "Laura?" He asked one more time. This time, even though she didn't reply, she moved her head so she was looking at her desk. Please ring bell! If it didn't ring soon, Laura might start crying. She might loose it. Or she could pass out. Any are a likely possibility. "Ok Sabrina, do you know?" He asked finally giving up. Sabrina opened her mouth to start talking but the bell rang...finally!
Laura's P.O.V
'I was fine. I am fine. I will be fine.' I kept repeating those words in my mind. Apparently I was so focused that I didn't hear mr Jacks calling on me in class. Finally it was lunch time though, and since I didn't have any more classes for the rest of the day, I could go home early. I walked to my locker to put all my books away that I didn't need for homework. I opened it up and threw all my books in. "Hello!" Someone yelled from the open door behind my locker door. "Hi," I said closing my door and walking away, not really caring who it was.
Ross's P.O.V
Has Laura actually zoned out that much that she doesn't know who she's talking to? I'm sure that's not the case. She's probably just having a bad day...right? She started walking away towards the exit of school. Suddenly she stopped in her tracks. She turned around slowly and yelled, "ROSS!" People jumped and turned around. She ran and jumped into my arms. "Why are you here?" She asked me. I explained everything for the third time today and just like everyone else, she nodded through the whole thing, but kept her head resting on my shoulder. Except she was smiling so big it looked like her jaw would unhinge if she smiled any bigger. "So I can retake my tests when you get back and then I won't have to worry you so much you fly out to see if I'm alright?" She asked eventually loosening her grip and getting back down again. "When we get back, yeah you're allowed to retake the five exams, just not the one you haven't got your results for yet," I told her, putting my arm around her as we walked back to her locker so we could talk without blocking the exit. She gave me a confused look and said, "no, when you get back Ross. You're the one that's on your, I'm not going anywhere." I smiled down at her and said, "That was the deal! I get your exams put forward, you come back on tour with me!" She squealed and jumped back into my arms again. "No you're joking!" She squealed. I laughed and said, "why would I joke about this?" She shrugged and jumped back down again. "I need to tell mr Jacks that I won't be back until after Christmas Ok?" She asked. I nodded and said, "I'll come too." She smiled at me and we walked down the hallway towards mr Jacks room. Laura knocked on the door and walked in. Mr Jacks had another class and it looked like the other half of our class. Sab, Liv and Parker were there. So was Bella, what joy! (*note the Sarcasm*) "Ross!" Sabrina shouts when I walk into the room. I laughed and walked over to their table while Laura talked to mr Jacks. We chatted for a while and Laura came over to say bye to the guys.
Laura's P.O.V
I have the best boyfriend ever! He was holding my hand as we walked to his car. I opened the door as I heard someone walk past and say, "losers..."
Ross and I turned around to see Bella and Lee walking past. "What did you say sorry?" Ross asked them. They turned around and Bella said, "I said, sad pathetic losers." Lee laughed and Ross's grip tightened on my hand. Bella laughed again and said, "like I knew she would crack but I didn't hunk she would crack this soon, and I certainly didn't think you for one would come running back Ross!" Lee sniggered, deciding to join the conversation, "Ross, buddy, I would understand if you came back because your mom was sick or something, but why would you come back for this worthless peace of sh-"
Ross's P.O.V
As Lee was speaking I could see Laura's eyes from slowly filling with tears. I stepped forward and grabbed Lee's collar. Laura put her hand on my arm and said, "Ross they're not worth it." I nodded but didn't let go of Lee, "I know, but you are." Laura took her hand away knowing where I was going with this and that I wouldn't drop it. "Lee I'm not going to insult you or your girlfriend, because you're not worth it. I'm not going to kick you, or start a fight with you, because you're not worth it. But I will do this," I let go of Lee's collar and punched his jaw, "because Laura means the world to me. I turned around and walked away. Laura and I got into my car and I drove us back home.
