Laura's P.O.V
"ROSS!" I yelled, "YOU'RE PHONE IS RINGING!" He ran up the stairs and into our room. "Hello?" He said, answering it. He said a few "yes"s and "thank you"s before hanging up. "Who was that?" I asked. "Mr Jacks," He said, sitting down beside where I was lying. I gave him a confused look and he said, "Well actually, it was his brother."
"That doesn't make any more sense," I said. He laughed and said, "We've got jobs!"
"What?" I said. "Mr Jacks' brother owns a sport shop and they were looking for employees, and now they've got two more!" He smiled. "Really?" I said, sitting up but instantly regretting it. I ran into the bathroom just in time to throw up. When I finished I sank into Ross's arms. "When will this stop?" I sighed. "I don't know princess," He said, kissing the top of my head. We went back into our room and started to get ready. "When do we start?" I asked. "Tomorrow," Ross smiled. "What about the fact that I know nothing about most sports?" I asked. "Well, each employee majors in a sport and then if someone needs help with that sport, that's who they call. So obviously I'm doing ice hockey and you're doing tennis," He told me. I nodded and smiled at him. I'm so excited to start this job with Ross.
The next day
Laura's P.O.V
"Hi!" Ross said to the guy standing in front of us, "I'm Ross and this is my girlfriend Laura." He smiled at us and said, "I'm Andy." He shook Ross's hand and then mine. "So, Ross, ice hockey?" He asked. Ross nodded his head. "How long?" Andy asked. "Since I was three," Ross laughed. "Wow okay!" Andy chuckled. "And Laura? Tennis, right?" He asked. I nodded my head. "How long?" He asked me. "Since I was seven," I replied. "Great," Andy smiled, "We have some professionals on our hands!" We all laughed and Andy said, "Follow me into the back and we'll get you guys sorted with uniforms." We nodded and followed him into a small storage room off the back of his office. "You guys can choose from this stuff, you need one summer uniform and one winter uniform. Winter stuff is on that side and summer stuff is on that side," He told us, leaving us to find our sizes.
Ross's P.O.V
I got a pair of jogger bottoms, a white t-shirt and a hoodie for my winter uniform and a pair of shorts with a white polo shirt for my summer uniform. Laura picked out a pair of Nike running leggings, a white t-shirt and a hoodie for her winter uniform and a skirt, a white t-shirt and a pair of knee high socks for her summer uniform. All of the clothes we got had the shop's logo on them and we both got a pair of black trainers each. We walked back out into the main shop and Andy told us to get dressed in the staff changing rooms at the back of the shop.
Laura's P.O.V
Not going to lie this job sounds pretty good!
A week later
Ross's P.O.V
"Laura! You ready for work?" I called up the stairs. "Yeah, I'm coming now!" She called back. She walked down the stairs and smiled at me, making her way to the front door. I laughed at her and followed her out the door.
I was standing talking to one of the guys I work with a girl around my age walked over to us. "Hey, you're the guy I need to talk to about ice-hockey, right?" She asked me. I nodded and said bye to Dylan before following the girl back to the ice-hockey section. "So how can I help you?" I asked her. "Well I'm interested in starting ice-hockey and I just wondered about getting some gear?" She asked. "Yeah sure," I smiled, "Follow me."
"Thank you so much for helping me," She gushed. "No problem," I smiled. "So why don't we go catch a movie when you're finished work?" She said, winking at me. "Sorry, but I have a girlfriend," I said. She rolled her eyes and said, "Soon enough you'll realise that I'm better than her." I just forced a smile so I wasn't being rude to a customer, because Laur and I really need these jobs. Laura caught my eye as she walked past me. I winked at her and she blushed and continues to walk. "I'm sure your girlfriend would love to know that you're flirting with your coworkers," The girl, still standing beside me, said. "I'm sure she would," I smiled. Just on time, Laura walked over and kissed me for a few seconds before saying, "I'm off now, I'll see you at home." I smiled and nodded my head, kissing her cheek before saying goodbye. When I turned around, the girl I had been helping was gone.
