The ship shook violently as Asalan piloted deep towards the earth's core.

"Careful, Asalan", said Zayala.

Asalan did not really listen, as he continued to press harder on the pedal. His noble concern for the two bodies laying towards the back of the ship was admirable at best. A tall, pale figure walked it's way towards the cockpit. Asalan turned his head for a moment to catch a glance of the figure, then directed his attention back towards his piloting.

"We have about 13 minutes till we reach Kero, sir."

For the same reason's that Asalan had such urgency, so did the rest of the 3 maned crew. Zayala began to punch in some instructions on the dash board. The pale figure continued to watch through the front of the ship, contemplating what exactly to do with the two bodies that lay so helplessly still behind him.

BRAM!!!

An alarm went off, signaling that Kero was 3 minutes away. The crew could clearly see the bright lights from their current positions. Excitement grew slowly over the sorrow that had crept its way into their hearts. The lights of the city poured into their eyes a certain joy that was unknown to those who lived above ground. Down here, in the city of Kero, was hope. A positive future.

"Land right there, at port no. 3, Asalan." said the pale figure.

"Yes sir," replied Asalan.

The ship glided slowly towards the port, and landed gently down on it's landing gear, extracted from the belly of ship. Many men and women ran towards the ship, curious of the news that the crew had brought back to them.

Philos Yidesa was one of the first men to stand in front of the ship. The questions he had burning inside of his mind had to be showing. The anticipation for answers was so hot, he swore you could see them melting out of his head. His body shook nervously as he had hope for something, anything, positive.

The ships exit port opened up, and the 3 man crew walked down slowly, carrying a medical balance board that held both covered bodies. Asalan and Zayala hurried the medical board towards the medical buildings. Philos walked towards the pale figure, who in turn, let out a deep sigh of relief, but also, concern. A hand reached out for kind greetings.

"Philos, my good man. How are you?" asked the Pale figure.

"Very fine, Baiju Ostrander. We are happy to have you here in the city again. It has been too long, my old friend." replied Philos.

"I have troubling news, my friend."

A puzzled look came over Philos. His concern began to fluster. It pushed him to inquire why. The two figures began to walk.

"Let your words be of ease, my friend. What has happened?" asked Philos, concerning.

With hesitation, Baiju replied

"Vega Enterprises was completely destroyed. There were two survivors, but I believe there may be one more. Two of them have been recovered, and are here with us, as you have seen. Out of the two, one bears a child."

Philos stopped, turning to Baiju with dangerously troubled eyes. He searched the ground for answers, as the questions now stung his brain inside. He began to speak once more.

"What does this mean for Kero, Baiju? Does this put us, our city, in danger?"

"Potentially. We have to do what we can to save the child. It may be too late for the two adults. We do not have too long. When the two bodies are realized to be missing, as hidden as we are, even more unknown, we must become." explained Baiju.
