Police department

"New case, listen up team!" You heard the strict order from your superior officer who had gathered you and your team members in the precinct.

"Beckett and her team have a kidnapping situation. A woman, in her 20's, has been taken from her hotel room a few days ago and is being held hostage." Your boss explained, then continued. "The detective squad have determined a location, it is our duty now to go in and save the hostage okay?"

You looked down to your copy of the brown file and you saw the picture of the famous singer Lauren Jauregui, with the details of the case.

"Her name's Lauren Jauregui. She's been kidnapped by a lone suspect and is being held in a basement beneath, we're guessing, his house. We need to act quickly guys. I know that you are fully capable."

You were focused on the file in front of you, before leaning closer to your best friend and fellow cop. "Theeee Lauren Jauregui?" You whispered.

Your best friend chuckled beneath his breath and planted his hand on your shoulder, nodding his head.

Then the pair of you were pulled back to reality by the strict tone of your boss. "Got a problem y/l/n (yourlastname)?"

"Nope. No problem here sir."

The captain nodded and folded his arms in front of him, now addressing the whole squad. "Yes, I realize that she is a celebrity. However I want you to treat her like any other civilian. No compromises okay?"..."I need the best."..."No less."

"Yes Sir."

"Good. Now, time is of the essence people, let's get moving!"

The cop cars pulled up on the street opposite the derelict and shabby house where Lauren was being held, but you were focused on her picture.

You stood by the car, just admiring her beauty when you heard your captains voice. Looking up, you saw your fellow colleagues, medics and your boss.

"Y/l/n (yourlastname) I want you to take the lead. Remember that the suspect may still be in there. I will take the entrance at the side of the house to reduce the risk of him escaping. I need you, Miles and Ryan to go in the front."

"You got it sir."

"We're going to go in unexpected, keep your wits about you. Stay silent."

You nodded and reached for your hand gun from your waist holster. The three others in your team followed behind, as the captain delegated orders to his team.

Carefully opening the door, with a slight creak, you focused your eyes to the dimly lit surroundings. The house was cold, dark and eerily silent and you shivered as your body temperature dropped.

"Guys, you take the living room, I'll check the kitchen and we'll meet at the basement door." You whispered, your team nodding in response. "Be super careful, the suspect could still be here and armed."

Once you had all cleared each area, with no sign of Lauren or the man holding her hostage, you gathered at the basement door in the kitchen.

When you heard the sound of heavy breathing at the other side of the door, your adrenaline started to run wild.

"Come on baby, let's play a little game..." You heard a sinister voice and your fist became clenched at your side.

He was in there.

You grabbed the attention of your team by pointing to the cupboard door, silently indicating to them that you needed to investigate.
