Part 2

The pair of you escaped the crowded city and you drove into a derelict building in the quietest part of town.

"Y/n, where are we?" Lauren asked in confusion as you stopped outside the empty building.

"I used to come here to get away." You explained, turning off the car engine.

"Is it safe?" She asked skeptically, making you chuckle.

"Yeah baby, come on..." You reassured, getting out of the car and moving to the passenger side.

Lauren smiled as you opened the door for her, before reaching into the bag to retrieve your packed bags and stolen jewels. You took your girlfriends hand, leading her into the building and up the stairway. You kicked the wooden door and watched it open with ease.

Lauren looked around the open space, eyeing the various pieces of furniture that were scattered around. You kept a hold of her hand and felt her shiver by your side.

"Cold baby?" You asked, moving to remove your jacket so you could put it around her shoulders.

The innocent girl nodded, "thanks, i'm kinda hungry too." she whispered.

You nodded in understanding, "Let's leave the bags here babe, then we'll go find some place to eat." You reassured her, walking over to the sofa in the middle of the open plan floor. You placed your bags of clothes down, but kept the jewels securely in your grasp.

"okay babe?"

Lauren nodded in reply and you moved to press a tender kiss against her lips. "Let's go find some food."

After about five minutes of driving down the straight road, you had managed to find a quiet burger place near to the house.

So here you were, sat opposite each other in a small booth, both with a burger and some fries to share. Lauren looked to you, just looking into your eyes before she spoke up.

"I can't believe we did this-" She started, but then both of your attention turned to the small television in the corner.

"BREAKING NEWS: a well known jewelry store in the heart of Miami City has been shaken by a robbery"..."According to the owner, millions of dollars of jewels have been stolen just 15 minutes after closing time."..."Luckily, no one has been injured, however the criminal or criminals are still out on the streets."..."Stay tuned to hear more about this unfolding story." The news anchor recited as the pair of you watched nervously.

"Babe-" Lauren whispered, so you quickly adjusted the bandanna on your face.

Your girlfriend followed suit as you clutched the bag of stolen items and reached for her hand. "Come on princess, we have to go." You told her, now rushing to the restaurant door.

In the rush, you didn't even pay for your food, so the manager was quick to jump up from behind the counter. "HEY STOP!" You heard him shout, so you quickly threw ten dollars onto the table. Then ushered Lauren out into the parking lot.

You looked around desperately for your car, as it wasn't where you thought you had parked it.

As you knew that this area wasn't exactly the safest, you realized that it had been stolen.

"F*CK!" You exclaimed, making Lauren look to you with a panicked expression.
