It was now turning just after midnight and the singer was still by your bedside. She was sleeping, giving into exhaustion as her head was resting against the crisp white sheets.

The sound of soft snores and the constant beeping filled the room, as your best friend and mother slept peacefully.

You were still in an unconscious state, being unresponsive. You couldn't open your heavy eyes or feel anything. You could only hear a muffled sound of what was happening around you.

A little while later, you suddenly felt a deep throbbing in the side of your head and a strange rush of blood through your veins.

The beeping of the machines started to get more constant as faster, as you felt a tingling sensation in your limbs.

You suddenly gasped for air and your eyes opened wide, realizing the tube that was in your mouth. Your body was now shaking and you started violently coughing, not being able to breathe. As hard as you tried to lift your hands to remove the tube, they felt heavy and stuck to your sides.

Lauren instantly jolted up and opened her eyes wide, to see you practically choking on the plastic in your mouth.

"Oh my god! Shit! Help!" She exclaimed in panic, pressing the red button at the side of your bed.

*******

Instantly, a nurse rushed into the room, followed by one of your doctors. They immediately realized what was happening, so efficiently moved to the machines and to control the situation.

Lauren was panicking like mad now, looking to you and then intently watching the medical professionals as they removed the breathing tube.

At the commotion, your mom also stirred in her sleep. She opened her eyes then shot up at the sight of the professionals.

"Oh my! What's happening?!"

The brunette turned to your mom, then back to you. "Sh-she woke, and tube, couldn't breathe."

Once, the tube had been removed you were gasping for air and could finally breathe. "Th-thanks." You stuttered.

Lauren and your mom were now by your side, your parent holding your hand as you adjusted to your surroundings, wincing at the bright lights.

"Hi y/n." Your doctor said sweetly. "You've been out for quite a while."

You nodded in understanding, allowing him to check your vitals.

"Where am I?" You quizzed, looking around at the medical equipment.

"You're at the hospital y/n, and I'm doctor Carter."..."You were in an accident, you remember right?"

You stayed silent for a moment, then all the memories came back to you. Nodding in response, you realized that you had been in a car accident with Austin and you were now at the hospital.

Lifting your head slowly, the doctor adjusted your pillows and you could finally see your mom and best friend looking at you intently.

Lauren put her hand over your free one, then turned to the professional with a desperate look. "She's going to be okay right?"

Your mom added. "Please tell us she's going to be okay?"

The doctor nodded, with a reassuring smile. "I can assure you both that she's going to be okay."..."You're lucky y/n, your injuries could have been a lot worse, luckily you're not going to need any surgery. It's going to take some time to recover and the pain will last a few weeks, but I am confident that we have done everything to ensure you're okay."
