You watched in frustration as the woman stood from her place on the sofa and stormed out of the room.

"Where are you going?" You asked in concern, following her out into the hall and up the stairway.

She opened every door in front of her, trying to find the right one as she started to get angry. "To bed, don't follow me."

The woman eventually found a bedroom and turned to you. "I- I just wan-want space right now." She mumbled, and you nodded in understanding, watching as she closed the door behind her.

You rested your forehead against the cool wood, knowing that you had messed up. "I'll be right out here if you need me."

After an hour had passed, you were laying on the sofa and it was just turning 11pm. The house was silent, until you heard a loud bang, then Lauren's distinct voice.

"NO! NO!" You heard, instantly making you jump up.

You feared the worse, that the woman was in danger, so you ran up the stairs and burst into the bedroom

"Lauren?!" You exclaimed, scanning the room for any intruders.

You heard then sighed in relief, realizing that she was just having a bad dream.

"Hey, hey wake up, Lauren, wake up. It's just a dream." You cooed, moving to the bedside and gently shaking her arm.

The brunette woke up suddenly and looked around the room in panic.

"Hey, it's okay."..."you just had a nightmare." You explained in a soft tone, not wanting her to be more traumatised than she already was.

"Do-don't leave." She pleaded, holding onto your forearm. "I ke-keep hav-having a nightmare." She cried, putting her head in her hands.

"You're safe mkay? Everything's okay."..."calm down sweetie." You cooed, gently running your finger up and down her arm, effectively soothing her.

A moment later, Lauren shuffled closer to you and placed her hand on top of yours, "I'm sorry about earlier." She mumbled.

The room fell quiet and then you spoke up. "it's okay Laur, get some sleep yeah?"

"Can you stay?" She whispered.

"I guess." You replied, not wanting to upset her again.

Lauren returned to her laying position and patted the space beside her. However, you looked to her with wide eyes. It was strictly against the policy to 'lay in a bed with the client.'

"Please?" She whispered, looking to you with her famous gaze.

How could you say no to her really?

You weighed up the pro's and con's in your mind. Con - you would probably get sent to jail if anyone found out the boundaries you had crossed. Pro - you got to sleep with the woman that you were falling in love with, and you could keep her safe.

So you took off your shoes and gently climbed into the bed. Not really thinking about anything else than getting to be with her.

You looked to her and the room was silent. It was a reassuring silence though, quite peaceful.

Lauren took no time at all to get comfortable as she cuddled into your side, her breathing becoming more steady. You knew that it was so wrong and you would get into so much trouble. However, you couldn't bear the thought of her feeling scared and upset, so you extended your arm.

She shuffled further into your embrace and rested her head against your chest.

"So-uhm, goodnight Lauren."

She stifled a yawn, rubbed her eyes and then snuggled into your body.

"Good night y/n..."
