"Abuela! Abuela!" Your grandson exclaimed, looking to you from your daughters side.
The pair of them had arrived for family dinner and were now standing at the front door. Your daughter, Ava, held her sons hand, but he was jumping up and down at her side.
"Hi little man." You greeted, kneeling down to hug him.
"I miss you." He replied, wrapping his little arms around your neck and hugging you tight.
You lifted him into your arms and secured him on your hip. "I missed you too sweetie."..."I missed your mommy too, hi mija."
"Hi mom, I missed you too, sorry we're a tad early today...Greyson was so excited." She explained.
You chuckled at your grandson. "Aw it's fine darling, come in, come in." You cooed.

"Where's ma?" The 20 year old asked, hanging her coat on the hook and looking around for your wife.
"She's just in the kitchen." You replied with a smile, then turned to your grandson. "Shall we go find grandma Greyson?"
The little boy nodded with enthusiasm. With that, you set off carrying him towards the kitchen, with Ava following.
Lauren was humming away to a random song, and Greyson squealed.
"I can hear!" He said with excitement, as the three of you entered the kitchen.
"Oh hi babies!" Lauren cooed, turning on the spot and putting the pan back on the stove.
You placed Greyson on the ground carefully and watched with love as your daughter and grandson set off running. Your wife held her arms out wide and pulled them into her embrace.
"Hi ma."..."hi abuela!"
"Hi babies, I missed you."
"I miss choo too grandma." The little boy replied and you smiled lovingly at the encounter.

"Dinner smells good." Ava spoke from her place at the breakfast bar.
"It's almost ready" Your wife replied from your side at the stove. She was cutting the meat up and you were stirring the vegetables in the pan.
Your grandson was playing outside in the garden, playing on the trampoline when suddenly you heard a loud cry.
Immediately spinning on the spot, Lauren did the same and Ava jumped down from her seat.
Then, Greyson came running back into your home, holding his hand against his knee and crying.
Ava immediately went into mother mode and rushed to his side. "Oh my goodness, what happened?!" She exclaimed.
You and your wife also knelt by his side, she rubbed his back and you stroked his head.
"Mo-momm-mommy." He sobbed and your daughter pulled him into her embrace.
"What happened Grey?" You asked in worry, checking him over for any signs of injury.
"I falled down." He cried, pointing to his grazed knee.
"Awh little man!" Lauren now cooed, standing up to grab the first aid box from the cupboard.
"Baby, let grandma put a band aid on your knee." Ava said softly, passing the three year old to you.
You carefully sat him on the counter and wiped away his tears. Luckily, Lauren had found some superhero bandaids in the box and she joined you at the counter.
"Ready to be a superhero little man?" The brunette cooed, trying and succeeding in calming him down.
The toddler nodded, then looked to your daughter. "Mommy it hurt."
Ava took his hand and then your wife pressed a kiss against his head. "Aw sweetie, I promise it's gonna get better mkay?"
