Pregnant daughter (part 2)

A few days later, it was Friday night, meaning that it was girls night. Every Friday, the Fifth Harmony girls would come round to catch up and have drinks, just to generally socialise and unwind.

The girls got comfortable on the sofa, and you started to chat like usual.

"I'll grab the drinks." Your wife spoke up, heading for the kitchen with your daughter following her.

The pair walked into the kitchen and the singer went to the fridge to get the bottles of soda, as Ava opened the cupboard for the glasses.

"Mom, I'm gonna tell the girls." Your teen said, putting the glasses on the island.

Lauren carried the bottles over, and then looked up. "Aw, okay darling, are you ready to tell them?"

"No time like the present." Ava replied with her famous Jauregui smile.

"Okay mija, i'm right behind you, it will be okay."..."They're gonna scream and be shocked but it will be all good."

You were having a general conversation with your friends, when your wife and daughter walked back into the room.

Lauren smiled at you before placing the tray of drinks on the coffee table and then sat by your side on the sofa. As the girls reached for their drinks, the brunette leaned closer. "Ava's going to tell them." She whispered, making you smile.

Ava waited till the girls were comfortable again, before standing in front of the fireplace and getting their attention. "I need to talk to you all." She said.

The room fell silent, and all of the singers were looking at their niece intently, unsure about what was happening.

"Okay you guys are gonna freak out."..."but I promise that i'm okay." She said in a quiet tone, nervously playing with her fingers.

"It's okay AJ, you can talk to us about anything." Dinah reassured, sitting back in the arm chair.

Your daughter looked to you, and you gave her a comforting nod. She smiled, then spoke up. "I'm having a baby."

The girls threw their heads back laughing in sync, making you, Lauren and Ava watch with confusion.

"Nice try guys, you'll have to prank us a little better." Camila said between giggles.

However, the girls realized that the three of you were not laughing. Lauren put her hand on the younger brunettes shoulder. "She's not kidding Cam."

The singers snapped their heads up. "What?!"

"I'm pregnant." Ava repeated, looking to each of their expressions.

All of a sudden, there was gasps and questions thrown at your daughters way.

"Who?!"

"When?!"

"Whattt?"

"NO FREAKING WAYYYY!" Normani exclaimed in shock, looking to the other girls.

"Whoa, whoa. One at a time." Lauren said, giggling at the girls surprise.

The girls all fell silent, then stood up to pull Ava into their embrace. "We're really gonna be grand aunties?!?!" Ally squealed in excitement.

Ava nodded, and Camila kissed her head. "How far along are you mija?"

"10 weeks."

"Oh wow!"..."How are you guys feeling?" Mani asked, directing her question to you and your wife.

"It was a shock, but we're a million percent here for her." You replied, making all the girls smile.

"You're both gonna be grandma's!" Dinah squealed, squeezing your face in her hands and making you laugh.

When she eventually removed her hands, she looked back to your daughter. "so who's the father?"

"Dinah!" Normani whispered, putting her hand on her friends shoulder.

You watched as Lauren tensed up by your side and you placed your hand against her knee. She felt her blood boil at the mention of the boy that had gotten your daughter pregnant, but you kissed her cheek to calm her down.

"It's okay." Ava replied sweetly, "It doesn't matter about him Aunt DJ, he was just a mistake and he's left now so he doesn't matter."..."I've got all I need right here."

"Sorry darling." The Polynesian said, realizing that she had asked a difficult question.

"It's okay DJ, you weren't to know." You reassured her with a smile.

A few hours later, the girls were leaving your house and Ava had retreated to her room.

"I'm just going to take a shower baby." Lauren told you as the pair of you walked up the stairway.

"Okay." You replied sweetly, kissing her before she walked to the bathroom.

You smiled at the cuteness of your wife, and proceeded to your daughter's room. You knocked on the wood.

"Come in." You heard from the other side and you opened the door and entered the room.

Ava was sat on her bed against the head board with her hands on her stomach.

"How you feeling mija?" You said softly, joining her on the bed.

"Tired." She sighed, resting her head against your shoulder.

"I remember when I was pregnant with you."..."pregnancy can really take it out of you."

She looked up to you. "Were you scared mom?" She asked.

"I'm not gonna lie mija, I was terrified."..."having a child is a huge responsibility and everyone is bound to feel scared darling."..."But we're right by your side to help you."

"Thankyou mom."..."was ma scared?"

"Your ma was so overprotective, I couldn't even pee without her waiting outside the bathroom." You told her, giggling at the memory.

"Wow that's overprotective."

You nodded and looked back down to her. "She loves us very much mija."

A few minutes later, you heard the door creak open again and saw your wife pop her head around the wood.

"Hi my beautiful family." She cooed, making you smile.

"Hi ma."

"Hey babe, we were just talking about you." You spoke up as the singer made her way to the bed.

"All good I hope."

She wrapped her arms around you, and you melted into her embrace. "Of course honey."

She smiled lovingly, then looked to your daughter. "How's my baby and grand baby?"

"We're good."..."i'm super tired though." She replied, stifling a yawn.

"You should get some rest darling." You said softly, kissing her forehead.

Ava nodded, as you reached for Lauren's hand and stood up.

"Night ma."..."night mom."

The pair of you walked to the door & Lauren turned out the light. "Goodnight princess."
