"There we go, all better." You cooed, lifting Greyson back into your arms and placing him gently on the ground.

"thank choo!" He exclaimed hugging your legs, then running to Lauren to do the same.

"That's okay little man, be more careful though, okay baby?" Your wife replied, kneeling down to hug him.

"okay abuela."

You smiled at his little voice and the encounter between him and Lauren. Then you returned to the stove. "Dinner's almost ready now."

Ava smiled and reached her hand out to the toddler, "Come on Grey, let's wash hands."

"Okay mommy."

Just as you placed the last tray of vegetables onto the table, you heard your wife make a sound of contentment. "Mmmm, it looks delicious babe." She said.

You gave her a loving smile, then moved to plant a kiss against her lips, when your grandson came running into the room.

"Chickennnnn!" He exclaimed, clapping his hands, then climbing up onto the chair.

Ava followed behind, shaking her head and giggling at her sons antics. She then sat down in the chair opposite your wife, and next to Greyson.

"Dinner's served." You announced, taking the seat next to Lauren and smiling when she rested her hand on your knee.

With that, you all filled your plates with the delicious food and began to eat.

**********

After a few minutes, a little voice broke the quietness. "Mommy?"

Ava lifted her head to her son and replied, "Yep?"

"I eated all my chicken!" Greyson told her proudly, rubbing his little belly and making you chuckle.

"Well done baby, what about your carrots?"

"I no like carrots." He replied simply, putting his fork back on his plate with determination. You held back a laugh, seeing the resemblance of him and your daughter when she was his age.

"Greyson Jauregui, you can't just eat your chicken and not your carrots..." She tried, and you knew where this was headed. Your grandson could be pretty stubborn.

"I got this AJ." Lauren spoke up, looking to your daughter and she nodded in response, allowing your wife to take over.

"Greyson, buddy."..."If you eat some of your carrots you can have some of the really nice chocolate cake we bought..."

"Mom!"..."He's three years old! You can't bribe him with chocolate cake!" Ava said with a gasp, making you laugh loudly.

Your daughter turned to you, and you continued to giggle. "Ma, please stick up for me here."

"Aw darling, i'm not laughing at you, i'm laughing at the situation...Just remembering something." You explained.

"Ohhhhh." Your wife spoke up, realizing what you meant.

Ava looked to you with confusion and asked, "Why what happened mom?"

You looked to your grandson and he was pouting, and you giggled again. "When you were about Greyson's age, your grandma did the exact same. You wouldn't eat your vegetables, so she bribed you with gifts. Your mother and I had the exact same reaction that you just gave." You explained.

Ava giggled, and shook her head before asking, "Grandma Clara?"

You and Lauren nodded in sync, then you watched as Greyson tilted his head to the side. As if he had made the decision, he quickly pinched his nose and picked up his fork in his free hand. Exactly what Ava did once Clara said that she could have presents.

He ate every single carrot on his plate, and you laughed loudly when he climbed onto Ava's lap. "Mama?" He said, holding her face between his little hands.

"Yes little man?"

"Can I have choc choc now?" He said, giving the famous Jauregui eyes and pout.

Ava shot you and your wife a look, then Lauren shrugged her shoulders, "Well, he did eat his carrots..."
