"That sounds amazing Laur!" You exclaimed, removing the head phones from your ears and hugging your best friend close.

Lauren Jauregui was your closest friend, she lived next door to you since you were 7 years old and your parents were extremely close too. The pair of you always played at each others houses, had sleepovers and shared many of the same hobbies.

One hobby in particular was singing, and when you were both sixteen, you had auditioned for the X Factor. The pair of you made it through the competition, neither of you winning, however you both now had recording contracts with Simon Cowell's record label.

So here you were, two years later, 18 year's old and worldwide famous artists. You were a solo singer, however Lauren was in a very popular girl group called Fifth Harmony, and you had all just finished a tour.

The pair of you still lived close to each other, in the same neighborhood in L.A. so you were just having a relaxing day at her house.

"You guys are slaaaaaying it!" You admired, having just listened to the girls' newest single from their upcoming album.

"Thankyou y/n! I can't wait for it to be released."

"I am so proud of you Laur."

"I'm so proud of you too! Who knew we'd be this famous! It is crazy!" She exclaimed and you nodded in agreement.

"Well we did have this dream all of our lives, remember when we used to steal your mom's makeup and perform songs to each other."

"Oh yeah, and our duets in the mirror!" She added, you both throwing your head back in laughter.

"Those were the day-" You were about to reply, but the sound of your message tone interrupted.

You reached into your pocket, grabbed your phone and saw a message from your on and off boyfriend Austin.

Austin; Hey baby, i'm around the corner from your house, I hope you're wearing those panties I like. xxx

You shook your head at the message, being used to his boyish texts.

Lauren looked to you intently before placing her hand on your shoulder. "You alright?"

"Just a text from Austin." You replied, not really saying anymore, knowing that she hated him.

"Why are you with him y/n? He's a complete fuck' boy."

You looked into her emerald gaze and sighed. "Lauren, I've got to go okay, i'll call you later."

She looked to you with now sad eyes, running her thumb across the back of your hand. "Why have you got to go so soon?"

"Austin." You mumbled beneath your breath, knowing that she would be hurt.

"Huh?"

You looked up to her and ran your free hand through your hair. "I promised Austin I'd meet him. He's on the street."

"You deserve better than him." Was all that she said removing her hand and turning away from you.

So you placed your hand against her shoulder before standing up and walking to the door. "I'm sorry Lo, i'll see you later, girls night right?"

"Yeah, i'll call you later...See you soon y/n."

You lingered in her doorway for a few seconds, but then another message alerted from your phone, meaning that he was waiting. Waving a short goodbye, you quickly ran down the stairs and out of her house.

A few hours later, it was starting to get late and Lauren was pacing around her living room. She was deciding whether to call you or not, knowing that you were never late to girls night. It was the only time you got to spend time together as best friends. The singer picked up her phone and immediately dialed your number.

Your phone rang for a few seconds before she got through.

"Hey y/n, I got some movies and pizza so you don't have to worry about having your dinne-" Lauren started but was soon interrupted by your moms tone.

"Lauren, it's me, y/n's mom. I-uh- we're at the hospital- y/n's been in an accid-accident." She told the girl, trying to hold herself together.
