Swimming in a sea of rainbows alongside peppermint unicorns that emitted gushes of nectar when ever they opened their mouths as the nectar was feasted on by a bounty of butterflies of every color imaginable, fluttering against the open expanse of blue sky, decorated by tufts of cotton candy.

That's the easiest way to describe the taste of these brownies.

Bae, now and forever.

"Bruh, I'm dying," I said as the gooey mixture enveloped my taste buds in sweetness

"Good aren't they?"

"Good!? You have the most amazing creation of the universe in your hands and all you say is good?"

"Okay....let's say all the synonyms of good added together and multiplied by a million. Better?"

"Acceptable," I said slyly as I wiped my hands clean

We were behind the maths block again, still on the same concrete bench that was overrun with colorful lichen. No one was on the field, mostly because break only lasted for twenty minutes. The green grass remained untouched as it soaked up the water droplets from the sprinkler. I could hear the water calling my name.

"Oh...sprinkler," I said softly, my inner child awakening at the thought of running in it

"Huh?" Said Sam sounding confused

"The sprinkler, it's calling my name"

"It's an inanimate object Kais, it has no vocal chords to convey speech"

I rolled my eyes as I wiped my hand against my forehead, even in the morning the sun was blistering, I envied the grass so much, "I so wanna run in the sprinkler"

"Run? In the sprinkler?" He said condescendingly

"Yah"

"That's funny," he said softly chuckling till his eyes met my confused look, "wait...you're serious?"

"Yah...what's wrong?"

"Nothing"

"No tell me, I wanna know"

"I don't know....it just seems very immature"

Okay, wow...that hurt, "Laurel and I do it all the time"

"Yah but just because you to do it all the time doesn't make it any less childish"

This wasn't the Sam I knew, "it's not childish, it's being young at heart and having fun in your life"

"Sure it is," he said with a smile as he tapped my shoulder, I pushed it away. He had that sarcastic look and tone like the sort that one may use to a child when they express their beliefs in unicorns or fairies. He was looking down on me, I hated it so badly.

"Excuse me but you don't need to be so sarcastic"

He lifted his hands in defense, "look I'm just expressing my views"

"By looking at me like I'm some immature six year old that still cries over the smallest issues"

"Yah because running in the sprinkler is pretty stupid if you ask me," he said bluntly

"Well I don't remember asking"

"Ouch, why are you taking this so seriously?"

"Because I am a child at heart and if you can't except that then you can't except me"

"Is running is the sprinkler really that important to you? Because if it is then I can take you there," he said with that same look

"There you go again!"
