I'm sobbing behind a tree like a three year old. What is wrong with me?!? I can't stop the tears but I keep myself quiet. I grab some snow and cool my face down, I pick myself up. I grab my bag and start walking, I hope it's ready. When I was younger my friend Mettaton used to take me here, his old house. He's moved out now but said he would renovate it for me. A 20th birthday gift, I'm going to need it early.
I stop at the waterfall, the house is that way but, I've never been this other way before. I step lightly and walk the new path, I gasp at the sight. It's a room full of echo flowers, must be hundreds of them. Father used to bring me one for my birthday every year, they would only lasts few months though. They whisper the conversations of the past, but not all of them. There is a small bench off to the side, old and worn. The flowers around it speak jokes and puns, with Sans voice.
"Knock knock," one of them whisper. I roll my eyes.
"Who's there?" I say quietly, before turning and walking back. I check the time again. 3:27am, any workers are taking the summer off anyways. I slide the key into the slot and turn it. The squeak of metal gives way to the click of the lock. I push the door open and step inside. I flick the light switch and have a look, the house is nearly done. The dark hardwood floor goes perfect with the burgundy walls. All the furniture is here but not in place, I drop my bag in the corner. I walk over to the kitchen and move the stove and fridge into place, I plug them in and slide them against the wall. I move the couch and tv into place then pack the bookshelf. I finish the setting of furniture and check the time again, 5:38. I sigh and move to the couch, I hit the purple switch on the side. The sound of gears full the room as the black leather couch unfolds into a black and purple bed, queen size. I don't even make the bed, I just flop down and pass out.

FLASHBACK!!

Sans pov.

"Hey kiddo, I'm gonna take you from here, k? No more fighting," frisk looks at me, trust shines in her eyes.
"Ok sans," she nods. This kid is only 11, and she is braver than most.
"I've got a job to do right now, but I'll be back in two days," she nods. "Heh, I won't leave you bonley."
"Ok sans," she laughs. There's a knock at the door.
"Your majesty, you have ballet," Frisk whines but heads out the door. I can't forget she's royal, she's a princess. Do I really need to take her? She's so much better off here.
No, she can't live with a family like this. It's all a front, a cover. The king and queen, and their poster child. They'll keep her safe, if only to keep their image. She's royalty, you are a peasant. She's a kid, royal or not, no one needs a family like this. She is a child, you are not. I'll keep her safe. You will never be more than a friend to her. She is better off in the castle, it's better secure. It's her choice if she wants to come. It shouldn't be, she's too young to make a wise choice. Shut up brain, she can come if she chooses. We will see in two days.
