As a week passed, we really got to know each-other. We would go over to each others houses (we went to his rarely), and we would play video games, and skateboard at the park, and such thing like that. But something seems to be bothering him.. I wonder if he's hiding something.

*JASON'S POV*

As a week or so passed by, I really got to know the girl. To be honest, I need too.. For her safety. More on that later. We have almost the exact same interests. Although everybody else thinks we're FREAKS, she doesn't seem to mind.. I like that about her, she doesn't care what others think.

The dance is two weeks from today, and I still haven't got the guts to ask her out. It's probably because she's new, and it would be really weird. I'd think that I would be ready, since we've become such good friends.. But.. I'm NOT.

*ASH'S POV*

Another boring weekend.. since Jason is busy, I've got nothing to do. Figures. My brother at a sleep-in at his high school. We go to different high schools for no apparent reason, my so-called "mom" is just mean like that. So I'm staying up in my room for most of the weekend. How fun.. not.

It's already 6 o'clock, my favourite show is on. So I lay down in my bed, eat my dinner and watch TV.

After it finished, I finally decide to show my face on the main floor. As always, I arrive downstairs to my step-mother yelling at me for staying upstairs for too long. I'm a teenager, what does she expect, 'Little Miss Social?'

We get back to school on Monday, and we scurry to Homeroom. Great, it's Spanish today. I'm not the best when it comes to Spanish. Oh boy, this is gonna be a long day..

I walk in to class, and see Jason reading, as usual, and I run up to him.

-Hey Jason, what's up?

-Nothing.., he answers, looking sort of worried as he closed his book. Okay then..

-Whatcha reading?, I ask, trying not to make it awkward.

-Um.., he says, not answering me.

What kind of weird book could he be reading if he's keeping from everyone?

After a few minutes, class starts. Here we go..

After first period, I walk out of class and try looking for Jason, because I don't sit close to him in that class. It's like he just disappeared..

*JASON'S POV*

I still don't know how I'm gonna ask her to the dance when, now, I can't even see her after class. Not in the 'shy' way. In the 'there's a secret I need to tell her about, but can't' way. Well.. sort of both ways. The 'shy to tell her something that could change her life right at school in front of a bunch of people in the halls' way.

The longer that I don't tell her, the more dangerous she'll become.. I don't know how, or when, I could tell her this.
