I may be tipsy last night, pero hindi ko nakalimutan ang mga nangyari.

I'm so sorry, Elle.

Maybe the stars aren't exactly aligned for us, for the meantime.

Meron man o wala, I have made up my mind—and I'm very hopeful that this is the last time that I will be saying this.

Moving-on is a process and the first step is acceptance. I can gladly tell that I'm through with the first step.

Akala ko ito na yun, but I just realized that throughout this trip, I've been uncomfortable and that says something.

I got out of my bed and grabbed my keys. I had a stroll around Greater London and found my self infront of SyncUK's office.

"Hello, good morning." Bati ko sa babae sa front desk. "Where is the office of the HR Department? I'm looking for Ms. Stephanie Cruz."

"Do you have an appointment, Ma'am?" I clearly have no idea how job application works. Aside from my hosting career, which was composed of a series of auditions and most of the time were referrals, I haven't had any job. Besides, wala namang sinabi si Ms. Stephanie na mga kailangan kong dalhin if ever I decided to come over.

"I don't have. But, I believe she's been expecting for me to come. Please do tell her it's Beatrice Capistrano." She politely nodded and called the HR department. After minutes of waiting, she had a meeting kasi, pinatawag na din ako sa office niya.

The building is pretty cozy and nice. Parang condo lang, I wish to work in a place like this soon.

"Bloody hell. Please watch where you're going." Like me, the world is tripping—or maybe it really is just me. I bumped into a guy naka sunglass and had his hoodie on. I got pretty caught up with the interior, hindi ko na napansin ang dinadaanan ko. Beyond what the sunglass covers there's slight of a bruise on his cheek. Nasapak 'to. And maybe that's the reason why he's nosy.

"There she is!" "Ms. Grazielle Beatrice Capistrano is a student from Manila, my hometown and she's here in England for a vacation slash conference."

"Ms. Capistrano, aside from being a student, what else do you do?" Tanong ni Mr. Alexis sa akin. He's not that intimidating naman.

Oh shut it, mind.

"I used to be a part of a media in the country. I was in the limelight for hosting a sports fest for two years, and currently, aside from being a student, I'm a full-time daughter and sister." It made them giggle but it made me nervous. Ano bang nasa isip ko and why am I cracking up things like this in a job interview? They just nodded and I clearly don't know what that means.

"Should I speak more of myself?" They both said yes and told me they want to hear some personal information, but not too personal. "I am 21 years old, taking up Accountancy with a heart full of everything but math. My passion for arts and science is above everything. And I think having that wide scope of interests make me a very flexible person."

"What made you come here? Are you looking for a job?" Here comes the serious paaaaart, I told myself.

"Not really. I was looking at my schedule for the upcoming academic term and my courses are quite light. I'm not used to it. So I thought of maybe giving this one a shot, just to fill my schedule."

"Are you friendly?"

"I think I do, yeah."

"I think you're perfect for this one." Mr. Alexis said with a smile and gave out all details.
