I don't like it how James tries to understand and stay prim at almost everything.
That reunion night, I was pretty ashamed of what Jay had said. Inexplain ko kay James yung side ni Jay at sinabi niya na, kung siya din naman nasa pwesto ni Jay, he could have acted the same way.
"Hi Bea." We're at Quezon and visited Nan. She pulled me into a hug as if I am the softest pillow ever. "I'm very glad you and James are together."
After eating breakfast, naligo muna ako dahil may pupuntahan din kami maya maya.
"Beatrice!" Sigaw ni James mula sa kwarto. "Someone messaged you, shall I read it?"
"Go ahead. I don't mind."
Wala na si James sa kwarto noong lumabas ako. Nagpaalam na din ako kay Nan at dumiretso na sa sasakyan where James is all set.
"San tayo pupunta?"
"To be honest, I actually have no idea. Do you have anything in mind?"
"Roadtrip tayo?"
Nakarating kami ng Batangas and the ride was pretty quiet. We went to a cafè by the beach. It's such a great place.
Just as I was reaching for my phone in my pocket, it wasn't there. Siguro naiwan ko sa sasakyan.
"By the way, who texted earlier?"
"It was Miss Stephanie. Just asking how have we been."
The orders came in and the food was indeed delectable. James looked a little worried. Napagod siguro mag-drive. Kahapon pa siya parang wala sa sarili, mas natahimik lang siya ngayon. It started out when he received an email that he has to go back to London in two weeks.
"Are you sure you're feeling good, James? We can just go ho—"
"I'm completely fine." He said firmly, cutting me off.
The live band asked for a volunteer to sing the crowd a song. I was actually thinking of James doing it but I ended up being the one who went up on stage.
"Uhm. Hi. Good morning. I'm going to sing a song I dearly love. Hope you like it. Enjoy your lunch."
