"There you have James Davidson and Grazielle Beatrice Capistrano with their song, Holding On!" The audience clapped as we have finished the song.

All the emotions were put into the song. Even in the short span of time, we were able to mix it all up: happiness, sadness, worries, ambitions and love.

We posted a video of us singing the song on my YouTube channel. All arrangements were in care of James, all I had to do was sing. It had a lot of views, James pa ba.

An invite from the Simon Braggs is something you don't ignore. This is the only guesting we'll have as to what James and I have agreed on. Simon have led us to a couch on the same stage.

"We're now back with James Davidson and Beatrice Capistrano for an exclusive interview only for us here in The Lounge." Again, the crowd have applauded following the instructions of the stage managers. "To start, since when were you two together?"

The crowd fell silent waiting for our answer. "We met three years ago. She said yes just recently."

"What do you mean by 'said yes', are you two engaged?"

That made us chuckle. "No. I've been courting her to be my girlfriend for two years. She just said yes lately."

"Wow. That was long. What took you so long, Beatrice? Was James hard to love?" To make it even more dramatic, the instrumental of the song started playing in the background.

"No. He's a great guy. I was taking up my masters degree by the time we met. It was a matter of setting your priorities. And he came at the right time."

"James, do you mind if the next questions will be for Beatrice?" James shook his head as his way of saying 'not at all'. "What if James came earlier, would you have said yes?" The way Simon asked the question was like it was a joke. So i just made a thinking face then nodded. "I heard you met him in a province in your country? Do you think it was destiny?"

Was it?

"I remember my Christian Ethics professor, telling me that there is no such thing as destiny." Napaisip ako, it wasn't destiny. But saying it directly won't sound good. "Every thing that happens to us is all a part of God's plans. It wasn't destiny, it is meant to be."

"You sound smart Beatrice. I love you already, do you have any plans on entering this field? I'm quite sure you'll be a crowd pleaser."

"Right now, I haven't thought of it. But I think I'd still continue writing with James. We're such a great team."

The song proper then started playing. "Now tell me about the song."

These colorful lights above,

They're so much like you.

Look at how they're moving,

To the sound of your breathing.

I won't care if you don't

hear it from the tops.

Happy to be doing it,

I'm screaming, 'I love you',

til you plant it in your heart.

"We were on a date. I was pretending to be writing and looking for an inspiration over a restaurant's terrace. But there was nothing, as in it was complete darkness. Mountain ridges were beyond the dark."

You and me, we're holding on.

Holding on to forever,

Only we know.

Only both of us know.

Going strong, holding on.

"I was just free-writing and I can't come up with a nice one. Like the environment, the lyrics were becoming dark."

I wanna do things with you,

Everywhere under the skies.

You're like nature's creator,

Yet you're the best creation.

"But then, just like what I really wanted Beatrice to see during that time, the Auroras showed up. And she started speaking out the song's lyrics."

I'd keep on falling,

even if it hurts.

Everywhere is home,

As long as I'm with you.

"Wow." Simon looked stunned? I think. "That's it? No problems in writing? Just that?!"

You and me, we're holding on.

Holding on to forever,

Only we know.

Only both of us know.

Going strong, holding on.

We're holding on.

"Hahaha. No. We finished it 2 days after. We had to revise some, add more, erase some. It was James who composed the music, I was more with the writing."

When I lose you,

"The last lines seem a bit sad. Why is that? Have you experienced a heart break before James?"

I will call on the winds,

As the crowd fell silent, I did too. "The thing about song writing is, you don't have to experience and feel, to have a great output. It doesn't have to be directly about someone either. You just have to put on your lenses from different perspectives."

To blow me to you.

"Before we end, what are your immediate plans after this?"

But it won't be.

"I'm coming home to Manila tomorrow."

I'm keeping you with me.

"I'm coming with her."
