Megan.
I lied against the memory foam mattress with the blue satin sheets wrapped around me as I graciously accept sweet neck kisses from Levi.
"Stop it, Leviticus." I giggled and he shot me the death glare only causing me to laugh harder.
"So, you never did tell me why you're still single." He wondered. "There's nothing wrong with you is it? Let me know now before I fall even harder." He laughed causing me to laugh.
"I guess I just haven't found the right one." I mumbled growing slightly uncomfortable as the words passed my lips. "What about you?" I asked before clearing my throat.
Levi was handsome, there was no doubt about that. He had a light tan completion and beautiful blue grey eyes that made you feel like you could see directly into his soul which was my only reminder that he was biracial. His facial hair was short and scruffy, but trimmed well and ticked my face whenever we kissed. He reminded me too much of my television crush, Dr. Jackson Avery and I wondered how I could have possibly gotten so lucky.
"I was engaged before, but she's now gone with the wind." He told me before kissing my cheek. "I'm surprised you haven't been married before. You just give me the 'I've been planning my dream wedding since I was four vibe." he laughed and I forced a smile while my heart beat increased.
How was I supposed to tell the man that I was dating and growing serious with that I was still married to my child's father? Especially after inviting him over his house for a game night.
The right thing to do was to tell him that I actually was married, but Meg's logic told me to just smile and peck his lips. "What happened with your ex?" I pushed just to switch the topic from me back to him.
"She got a girlfriend." He laughed and my mouth fell slightly. "It's cool though. We're still really good friends. You have to meet her."
"Oh no I don't do best friends of my man." I told him with a straight face and he smiled.
"I just said we were good friends, not best friends, babe."
I smiled and lied back against the pillows while he caressed my thigh. For the first time in a long time I could actually see myself moving on.
"You hungry?" he asked while pecking the corner of my mouth.
"Aren't I always?" I chuckled and he stood pulling his boxers on and grabbing his phone headed toward the kitchen.
Tristan was with his dad and Siena and I was enjoying being able to lounge since school was officially out for the rest of the year. I had really big plans for the new year and so far, everything was working out well. I was one step closer to cutting ties with Tremaine, had a sweet, handsome man in my life, and was working toward owning my own home.
My phone vibrated under my pillow and I checked it to see that I had an incoming call, while the doorbell rang. I sighed heavily before throwing my head against the pillows. I could never enjoy my time in without someone trying to disturb me.
I ignored both my phone and door and placed a pillow over my head. I heard Levi walk in and chuckle before the bed dipped beside me and the smell of popcorn filled my nostrils.
"Go get the door for me and tell whoever it is to go away!" I laughed. I knew it wasn't either of my kids and Alysia had been all about Jermaine so I knew it wasn't her. He slid on a pair of basketball shorts and a tee shirt before walking toward the door in his sock clad feet.
"Oh so that's why you haven't been answering my calls. Too busy laid up with my sister." I heard Chase laugh while I stood and pulled my underwear and tights back on. I through on an old Temple University sweat shirt and made my presence known in the living room.
