Megan.

The living room emptied out quickly leaving only Tremaine and I to bask in our awkward silence and I wasn't really sure where it came from. I felt like our friendship was back to where it was and it had gone back to shit in a matter of seconds.

"What's going on Trey?" I finally asked after we sat and ate the food he made in silence. Siena's smart TV blasted pandora radio and I knew that meant she was on the phone.

"What do you mean what's going on? We're sitting here relaxing like we've been doing all day." he informed and I rolled my eyes. "

"You can't be upset that I want a baby Tremaine. That's selfish. Think about how old I am. I'm not in my twenties anymore." I told him, playing with my fingers in my lap and felt his gaze move from the TV and to the side of my face.

He was silent for a while, and I didn't want to continue talking if the conversation was going to be one sided. It wasn't like I really owed him an explanation anyway.

"I'm not mad at you for wanting a baby." He said, finally, and turned back to face the movie we were watching. "You can do whatever you want. You're a grown ass woman. I just hope you know what you're doing. I just don't think you make the best choices when it comes to men."

"Oh, but I guess you're the exception?" I asked with an eye roll before crossing my arms over my chest.

"Me included." He answered matter of factly and I furrowed my brows in confusion.

"Well, I'm not your child. You don't have to worry about what I'm doing." I semi-snapped and watched his head turn slowly in my direction again.

"No, you're not my child. You're my wife." He reminded and stared at me seeming to be waiting for my smart ass remark.

"Only because you won't sign the fucking paper! How many times do I really need to tell you before you get it that I don't-"

The squint of his eyes as he stared deep into mine dared me to finish my sentence, but I had seemed to lose the willpower to speak.

"Stop fucking lying to yourself." He snapped. "You want another baby, tell me you want another baby instead of trying to throw hints by claiming to want it with a nigga you've known less than two months. If you want-" he tried to continue, but I stood. I grabbed my purse and made my way toward the door, no longer finding our conversation necessary. Either he was going to be happy for me or he was going to be a bitter bitch ass nigga.

"You want to replace me that bad that you're about to pro create with a nigga you don't even know?"

"Oh, but it was fine when you thought you got Kayla pregnant, right?" I snapped and he shook his head and sighed deeply, which was usually the equivalent of me rolling my eyes.

"It's been seven fucking years, Megan! God damn get over it! She's not even relevant anymore. And let's be real, I apologized to you way more than I needed to. Stop forgetting that you were the reason we separated to fucking begin with!" he snapped and I watched a vein in his neck pop out.

"It hasn't been seven years! She just left a month ago!" I yelled. "If you really cared, you would have never let that bitch take my place whether she had your fucking child or not!" I yelled. "I would never move the nigga I cheated on you with into the fucking house that we used to share. Ever!" I told him, feeling tears weld into my eyes.

"That's because she was the only person I ever fucked outside of our marriage!" he yelled back. "And I was fine with keeping it that way up until a week ago when I fucked Amber again. I kept Kayla around for convenience, so that when we got back together I couldn't say that I had been with so many women. You think it was fun watching you bounce around from man to man?" he asked and I wiped my eyes.
