“You oughta pray for people who mistreat you, cause God doesn't take it kindly.” Joyce Meyer
When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze. Isiah 43:2
Solicitous: “characterized by or showing interest or concern” New Oxford American Dictionary
People often wonder why bad things happen to good people. It can be difficult to understand God at times. Understanding the ways of God is like a toddler trying to understand the ways of their parents. People have been debating what His role is in our lives for centuries. Luckily we have an example in Jesus, and I think it's a safe bet that we can view God the way Jesus did, as a Father. We are like children, able to hurt ourselves, but often times lacking the knowledge to know what can hurt us. He is ever watching over us, wanting to help and protect us. But like a human father allows his children to learn from mistakes, God waits till we ask, to step in. So let's invite God into our lives, trust in Him, and not worry when other's try to damage our lives, because we have an all powerful Father in heaven that is solicitous to our problems. Like Paul said in Romans 8:31, “If God be for us, who can be against us.”
