“Hide not your talents. They, for use were made. What's a sundial in the shade?” Benjamin Franklin

“His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!’” Matthew 25:21

Metier: “an occupation or activity that one is good at” New Oxford American Dictionary

We all have unique talents that if properly used could make us successful people. But I don't want to talk about success right now. I want to talk about using talent for others. We could listen all day long to people telling us how to find our talents, harness them, then let them cultivate our careers for success. And there is nothing wrong with that; like the parable teaches, we should all absolutely try to use our talents to the best of our abilities. But there come's a point where it becomes important to live for something more than ourselves. It is my belief, putting a smile on someone else's face is the best way to put one on ours. Talents are a gift from God, realizing that, can turn a simple ability into a conduit for God's blessings and gifts to others. How cool is that? And maybe I really do want to talk about success right now. Because what is success if doesn't benefit others?
