New title, homies.

May slowly opened her eyes to see the room she was in before she ran away. Well...more like...attempted to run away.

She was in shock. The last things she remembered were two men trying to take hold of her, then, something strange showed up, and then she fell asleep.

Maybe that strange thing saved her? Or what if that didn't happen at all and everything was a bad dream?

But how can it be just a dream if she did try to run away? If it was, she wouldn't be lying on the same bed as if she never left.

But...what saved her? And how did she end up back in her room?

One thing's for sure. She owes her life to that person. Who knows what would have happened?

She left her room to check if the others were there. She got to the kitchen and saw a closed plate with a note beside it.

May,

You're lucky Clemont and Bonnie were nice enough to make you breakfast. Just re-heat it on the microwave if it got cold. We placed it on a microwave-safe plate so you don't have to transfer the food. We already left to ask around town about the creature. I know you don't really want to be involved, so we didn't bother waking you up. Jeez. I thought you slept the earliest last night.

And sis, don't try to run away just because you're alone there. I don't want to get in trouble, okay,

Max.

"Annoying kid. He doesn't have to tell me that the plate is microwave-safe. I can see that." May muttered.

After heating her food, she started eating and read the note again.

'Wait...did Max know that I tried to leave? No way.' May thought. 'Wait...could it be? It seems impossible but...

What if the creature they were looking for is the same thing that saved me last night?'

--

Max, Clemont and Bonnie decided to the town square after they saw a flyer regarding the creature.

In terms of asking the townsfolk, they didn't seem to have a lot of progress since everyone was like "I've only heard about it" or "I might have seen it, but I'm not sure."

"Did you hear? That monster took out some weirdos last night." A man near them said.

"And to think. Those guys were the ones wanted for running that illegal brothel near town, and finally they got arrested. Maybe that monster isn't such a monster at all." The woman beside him replied.

Max and Clemont approached them.

"We couldn't help but overhear your conversation, but may we ask about what exactly happened last night with the monster you speak of?" Clemont politely asked.

"We don't really know the whole story, but we did hear it on the news just this morning that they saw the wanted men lying unconscious on the ground. The policeman's Machop used Wake-Up Slap on them and arrested them. As they scanned the area, they noticed some weird powder and lots of leaves, which is usually a sign that the monster was there." The man explained.

"Hmm...do you guys have a clue as to how this creature looks like?" Max asked.

"We never saw it up close, but we do know that it is no ordinary creature. Is it a Pokémon? Is it human? Who knows? Well...maybe Harold Ross knows. That's why people are gathered here to find out more." The woman replied.

"I've heard of his name before, but who is Harold Ross anyway?" Clemont asked.

"I suppose you're not from here then." The man said. "He is a known businessman here. They call him a technological wiz because his inventions have benefited so many people here. He also helps a bunch of inventors achieve their work by lending them money and even some ideas."

"He seems like a really nice guy." Clemont said. "Maybe I should ask help from him someday."

"Clemont! Max!" Bonnie yelled as she ran up to them. "More people are coming over, so I came here."

"Whoa..." Max said as he saw the crowd of people. It's like everyone in town was there.

Suddenly, they saw a limosine park, and bodyguards were surrounding it. The door opened to reveal a middle-aged man. The man left the car and people were applauding.

"Is that him?" Max asked. The man nodded.

Ross went to the centermost area after the guards cleared it out.

"Ladies and gentlemen of Rosace Town, a fine morning to you all." He greeted. "Now...I'm sure that you know of that vile monster that lurks in our town. That green weird creature that has been scattering leaves more than a Scatterbug would."

"But sir, he did help in the arrest of those guys running the illegal brothel." Someone from the crowd said.

"I know, I know. Such a noble act. However, that is only a ruse. A way to hide its true intentions to the public eye. It wants people to see him as a good guy, so that it can attack once everyone's guard is down." He answered.

"How sure are we that he really is evil?" Someone asked.

"That monster was corrupted by a greater evil, someone who wants to bring my business down. I'm pretty sure that will be an inconvenience to you all." He replied.

The people discussed and agreed.

"I'm glad that the whole town will be cooperating in this plan. And thus, I will reward whoever captures this monster. A million dollars to whoever gets to him first! However, I do want him alive. Don't be too dangerous with your means." He continued.

The crowd cheered.

"By the way, I will be having a product presentation gala this Friday, and you are all invited. Together, we will bring this monster down." He finished.

The crowd roared, and as Ross left, so did everyone else.

Heeeeeey.

How is the story so far? What are your thoughts about the whole thing?

Question of the day: If you were a Pokémon, what will you be and why?

I would probably be a Pignite because I feel like my spirit animal would be a pig. And I spit hot fire. Ha! *dabs*

I hope you are enjoying the story so far. Honestly, this won't focus too much on the ships...at least for the early parts.

In the next part, new characters will be showing up. YAY.
