"Are you serious?" Max questioned. "I thought you didn't want to be involved."
"Well...I don't have much to do here." May said in an uncertain tone.
"Really now." Max said as he narrowed his eyes, questioning May's intentions. "Something's not right."
"Come on, Max. The more, the merrier is what I say!" Bonnie cheered.
"Plus, if we have another person helping out, it would increase our chances in finding this guy." Clemont added.
"See, Max? Our friends appreciate me joining the squad." May said. Max sighed.
"Okay...we will be scouting for eight hours in total. First two hours will be Max and May. Second we will be me and Bonnie. Third will be me and Max. Fourth will be May and Bonnie." Clemont announced.

9:00 PM...the next day
Clarise was still at the front door checking the premises before she went to bed, so May and Max still couldn't leave.
"So...we'll wait for Clarise, but how long do you think she'll still be here?" Max asked.
"Hmm...I know what to do. Follow me." May said.
"Are you..." Max said.
"Yes, I'm sure, Max." May interrupted.
They made it back to their rooms. Clemont and Bonnie gave them weird looks as they were supposed to be outside already. May told them that they're just looking for another way out. Clemont and Bonnie decided to follow them to see what they're up to.
They arrived at May's room. May looked through the window, and everybody else followed.
"I see...we'll make our way out this way instead." Clemont suggested as he pointed at a window.
"Hmm...but how? That branch near the window already snapped." Max said.
"We could check the other rooms." Bonnie suggested.
"No need to do that." Clemont snickered. "The future is now thanks to science!"
"I hope you have something up your sleeves, for real this time." Bonnie said.
"We'll use this Aipom Arm to safely bring you guys down." Clemont said. He ran back to his room and then back to May's room with a backpack-like device on-hand. The middle part of the bag then popped and showed what looks like a mechanical hand.
"Wow! Science is amazing!" Max cheered.
"Okay, who wants to go first?" Clemont asked.
"Me!" Max exclaimed.
Clemont's Aipom Arm extended and grabbed Max's waist. May opened the window, and Max was carefully brought outside. The Aipom Arm released its grip from the teenage boy, and then it grabbed May to do the same.
As the Aipom Arm returned to Clemont, he and Bonnie looked below to check on the two. Max gestured to them to close the window, and they can finally begin their scouting.
May and Max saw a nearby bush where they sat.
"I really hope he shows up." Max whispered.
"Yeah. I bet you can't wait to be best friend with him." May replied sarcastically.
Max chuckled. "I kinda want to be friends with him, not gonna lie."
"Do you think he'll actually show up?" May asked.
"You know...if you have doubts about this operation, you shouldn't have not joined in the first place." Max said. "I still don't get why you really want to join."
