Clemont and Max had their usual morning routine. Wake up, stretch, cook (for Clemont), eat, brush teeth and then take a shower.

However, Bonnie had other ideas.

She waited in front of May's bedroom door. Clemont was telling her to eat her breakfast already, but Bonnie insisted on waiting for May to wake up.

Max then approached her and handed her a peculiar object.

"A megaphone? What do you want me to do?" Bonnie asked.

"To wake her up." Max answered. "I always use this every time my mom makes me wake May up."

"Won't Clarise get mad at us if we use this?" Clemont asked.

"Just close the doors and windows. If she'll hear something, it'll probably just be muffled sounds." Max replied.

"Uh...I don't think I'll take the chance of getting in trouble." Bonnie said as she returned the megaphone to Max.

"Well...I'm not afraid of my sister. Don't worry, it's not like I'm going to use a very loud airhorn." Max assured.

"Why would you even use an airhorn?" Clemont asked.

"My sister's old boyfriend told me that he and his cousin would wake each other up with airhorns. The one who wakes up first goes to the other person's room and uses an airhorn." Max answered. He followed with a sigh. "I hate to admit it, but I kinda miss the guy. I used to dislike him just because he dated my sister, but he turned out to be cool."

"What happened anyway?" Clemont asked.

"I don't really know. He just left...I guess." Max replied.

"Did he tell her where he went?" Bonnie asked.

"She never bothered telling us the whole story." Max answered.

Suddenly, they heard mumbling coming from May's room. The door then opened, revealing that May is already awake.

"He just told me that he needed to go somewhere important. He didn't tell me exactly where. I was waiting for a call from him for a long time, but he never called. And when the next school year started, he wasn't even enrolled. I tried calling his family, but they haven't heard from him too." May explained as she left her room.

"Oh...I'm so sorry, May." Bonnie consoled.

"It's okay, Bonnie. I just wish I knew what really happened." May said. She then looked at Max who still had the megaphone at hand. "I hate you, Max."

"That we talked about him?" Max asked.

"No. That you were planning on waking me up again with a megaphone. I'm glad you guys started talking about him, or else I would've heard 'MAY MAPLE! WAKE UP! PRINCE CHARMING AWAITS!" May replied while trying to imitate Max.

"Hey, that always worked before." Max said.

"Okay, you girls have breakfast already. Max and I will try to think about what we have to know before we go to the gala tonight." Clemont said.

May and Bonnie proceeded at the dining table and they took their seats.

"Why haven't you eaten yet, Bonnie?" May asked.

"I was waiting for you to wake up." Bonnie replied.

"But why?" May asked.

"I thought it would be fun to spend time with you today. We can go around town and look for outfits and accessories for the gala." Bonnie excitedly replied.

"Is it going to be a very fancy gala? Is it necessary to really get dressed up?" May questioned. "Remember, the purpose of that is to find out more about the creature. It's not like a ball, right?"

Bonnie pouted. "I guess...it's just...it's the first time that I had female companionship. I mean...I have friends who I can spend time with, but I wanted someone who wasn't in my age group. In the family, it's just me, my brother and my dad. I don't have a sister, and my mom passed away when I was very young."

"I'm so sorry, Bonnie." May consoled.

"It's okay, May. I was very little when it happened, so I didn't really know what was going on. Bonnie said. "But I'm sure she's happy where she is now."

"That's nice to hear from you, Bonnie. I'm sure she's very proud of you." May said.

"I kinda wish I had a sister too. I mean...I'm happy with having a brother, but I also wish I had a sister." Bonnie said. "I guess now is the first time I had a sister-like figure in you."

"Well...if you married Max then I would definitely be your sister." May joked.

"Well...that's a thought." Bonnie laughed. "I just hope my brother didn't hear that."

"Would your brother not like it if you and Max dated?" May asked. "If I were him, I'd be happy because at least I know the guy, and although he can be annoying and rude, he is sweetheart deep inside."

"He's been kinda protective of me. I mean...it's not that I like Max, and I don't think Max would like me like that anyway." Bonnie defended.

"I guess that's how brothers work." May said.

"Oh yeah. Max told us that he used to dislike your old boyfriend." Bonnie said. She thought for a while and then grinned. "I know! We will make sure you are the belle of the ball, even though it's not really a ball. I'm sure a lot of guys will go after you."

"And why will we do that?" May asked in a disappointed tone.

"Well...to help you...you know." Bonnie answered in an uncertain tone. "Oh wait...you still love him, don't you?"

"It's not easy, Bonnie. I loved him so much. I don't think I can even move on until I know where he is and how he is." May replied.

"I understand. It's not like he broke your heart, friendzoned you and kissed someone else in front of you, right." Bonnie said.

"That was very specific." May pointed out.

"That's what happened to Clemont." Bonnie replied.

"Ouch. Was that kiss intentional? Like...she did that to make Clemont bad?" May asked.

"Nah. She didn't know that my brother liked her. That's why ever since, I've been looking for someone to take care of my brother." Bonnie said.

"I'm sure Clemont will find her someday, or who knows? Maybe that girl will go back to Clemont. Just hopefully it's not because he became rich and famous." May said.

"Yeah." Bonnie said. "Man, it took us a while to finish our food. That's what happens when you keep on talking while eating."

"True." May replied. "Okay...let's wash the dishes and then later, we can stroll around town and maybe go shopping."

"Yay! Thank you, May!" Bonnie cheered and she hugged May.

Kinda short...I guess. It's longer than last time, and nothing much really happened.

It's kinda a filler, I guess.

Or is it actually important??? Hmmmm.

I was supposed to include the gala already in this chapter, but I don't want it to be super lengthy. I mean...I know my old stories and oneshots would even exceed 3K words sometimes, but I don't want that to be the case. I'm trying to limit each chapter to around 1000 something words. If I already reached 1K words before the next scene, I will save the next scene for the next chapter.

Just to point out...this is not a Lumietalburg story. This is not an Amourshipping story. I just referenced that airport kiss, not a big deal. This is not an anti-Geekchic story either. This is also AU.

Question of the day: What do you think happened to May's old boyfriend?

That's it for now. The gala finally happens in the next chapter.

And if you got the Pokemon in Arendelle references in this chapter, you are the real MVP.
