Asylum had returned home after a long day, just before the sun finally set. He excitingly began pulling the new things that he had "borrowed" and placed them in his pile of treasure. He organized for a while, losing track of time.
He finally looked at one of his hourglasses, realizing that it was late, probably already past midnight. He decided to go to bed, and he would continue his organizing tomorrow.
Walking into the bedroom, he was surprised to see that someone was already in the bed.
His friend Sari.
Asylum softly sighed, wondering what she should do.
He could go sleep in the TARDIS, but Mimi and Lena were there, and he did not feel like dealing with them.
"Sari wouldn't mind, right? It's just for tonight and she's already asleep..."
At this point, Asylum was too tried to argue with himself.
He crawled into the opposite side of the bed, trying not to wake her.
With his back facing her, he laid on his side, closing his eyes as he tried to fall asleep. It wasn't too long, until he felt an arm pulling him, and his body pressed up against another's.
"You're back..." He heard his companion yawn.
Asylum blushed, turning around to face her. Sari smirked, not moving her arm.
"Sorry for taking the bed, do you want me to-"
"N-No, I guess we can share...S-So long as you stay on your side of the bed!" Asylum laughed nervously.
"No promises~"
He blushed brighter, turning so that his back was facing her.
As he closed his eyes, he soon felt fingers running through his hair, messing it up.
"What are you doing?" He muttered tiredly, too tried to turn and see what she was doing.
Sari huffed, "Nothing."
"Well, you're obviously doing something..." Asylum argued.
She hummed in response, continuing to run her fingers though his hair, "I'm just making a braid."
"Sariii!" Asylum whined.
"Hold still, you'll mess it up!"
Asylum pouted, rolling his eyes. He heard her chuckle, pushing closer to him.
"Aaaand done!"
"Great, thanks so much..." Asylum sarcastically thanked her, feeling his hair. "Now if you don't mind, I wanna go to sleep now..."
"Fine, fine..." Sari rolled her eyes.
He closed his eyes again, but still felt the tug of a pair of arms wrapping around his waist, pulling him closer to her. She spooned him, embracing him warmly.
Asylum shifted slightly. It had been a while since anyone had actually hugged him before, so long that he had forgotten what it had felt like.
He felt... safe... and protected.
Melting into the embrace, he began to pass out, drifting into sleep.
