Toast sat in the passengers seat, listening to his complaining partner as he rambled on.

"I don't wanna go to this... It's gonna be a mess..."

"Relax sir, we'll just leave our presents under the tree and sneak out... Okay?"

Ghost groaned, sinking into the passenger seat.

The two had been invited to celebrate Christmas at the Accchalla residence. Ghost didn't want to go, and would much rather stay home for the holiday.

It wasn't like he ever had family to celebrate with...

Toast, on the other hand, wanted to be polite and leave their warm house to drive through the freezing snow.

Looking out the window, Ghost watched the white fluffy snow fall from the sky. It had been snowing nonstop for weeks now.

Toast sighed softly, glancing over at Ghost for a moment, "Aw, cheer up sir! Will be back home before you know it!"

The younger man just shrugged, rolling his eyes.

Toast opened his mouth to speak, but he went silent as he looked back at the road, his eyes widening.

"Sir... Bit of a problem..."

Ghost turned his head, seeing what Toast was referring to.

Cars backed up as far as he could see, fresh layers of snow covering each and every one of them. None of the cars were moving an inch.

"Are you actually kidding me?!" Ghost yelled as he hit his back against the back of the seat.

Turning up the radio, Toast switched the stations until something came up that was informative.

"Were getting full reports of the holiday traffic on the 95 highway, backed up with bumper to bumper traffic, and it looks like it's going to stay like that for the remainder of the day. "

"Great, just great... I told you we should have stayed home!"

Frowning, Toast turned down the radio, "I'm sorry sir..."

Ghost sighed, "Well, it could be worse... At least we have the van..."

Toast nodded, letting go of the wheel as he put the car into park. They weren't going anywhere anytime soon. "Right..."

Taking off his seat belt, Ghost pushed the seat back, and leaned against it as he slowly closed his eyes, sinking deeper into his warm gray hoodie.

Getting lost in his own thoughts, Toast's mind drifted as he watched the snow fall.

A sudden impact of pressure on his shoulder snapped him back into reality, turning to find his friend resting his head against his shoulder.

His face flushed pure red, Toast contemplating what he should do.

Looking over at his partner, he didn't have the heart to wake him up, seeing how peaceful he looked.

He just smiled, resting his own bed upon his.
