He broke down.

In the middle of the mission, Asylum Weaver had started to fall apart, but tried to stay strong. He didn't want anyone to see him break down.

Venturian wasn't helping.

His words terrified him.

He spoke of how his story was going to end, and how his "game" was breaking. What game? What story?

He also talked of how he was going to have to leave soon. Where was he going? Why did he have to leave? Why couldn't he stay here? Why did he have to say goodbye to his family?

He didn't want to leave. He didn't know how he could survive on his own.

Especially Sari.

She had been with him since the start of his new life. They had been though so much together. He couldn't imagine his life without her.

"Asylum? We're here!"

Asylum snapped back into reality, seeing the man that he paid to follow him walking towards the cave. "I'll watch the front gate. You head inside."

"Got it..." Jumping off his unicorn companion, he walked toward the cave, with Sari suddenly following behind her. He couldn't face her. Not now.

Walking inside the cave, the pirate felt his companion heal herself with magic. He didn't know why, he felt the need to imitate her, healing himself as well.

God, he was going to miss her... Everything she did was just so unique, so different. He was lucky to have met her.

Sari took notice of her friends weird behavior, "Are you alright..? You seem... tense..."

"W-What..? Oh, yeah, I-I just like doing that, you know, I-I love that, I love you."

Whoops.

Why did he say that?

Sari looked surprised, her eyes wide and glowing. "W... W-What..?"

"I-I... I mean... I'm sorry, I-I didn't... Oh God..."

He slipped, falling to his knees, uncontrollably falling apart. Fresh tears rolling down his face, grasping the dirt beneath him.

"Asylum, it's okay... Everything's fine..." He heard her say, feeling her kneel down beside him, her gentle hands on his shoulders.

"No, nothing is fine!" Asylum snapped through tears. "I-I'm... I'm going to miss you so much..."

"What? Asylum, I'm no going anywhere. I'd never leave you, I promise."

"You don't understand..." He cried, "I don't even understand! I'm so scared! I'm leaving, a-and I don't know why... I just... I can't..."

"Sweetie, calm down... Calm down..." Her soothing voice immediately helped him relax. He looked up at her, her beautiful eyes glowing bright yellow.

"No matter what the future holds, I'll always be with you. I'm here now. And I promise that I will never let you go."

Tears rolled down his face, while a small and sheepish smile formed in his lips.

He jumped into her arms, clinging to her as tight as he could. He could feel her hugging back, embracing him warmly.

"I love you too, by the way..." Sari whispered, placing a gentle kiss on the top of his head.

Asylum didn't care about the rest of the mission. He just wanted to stay in her arms forever.
