The room filled with all sorts of people, at the winter ball of 1780.
Solider boys from the wars being showered with praise by many young woman, all dressed up in fancy dresses and expensive jewelry.
One of those girls, happened to be a woman by the name of Mimi, along with her sister Lena, and their adopted sister, Sari.
Sari was the youngest, but happened to be the tallest of the two. She came from another family far away from here, but was adopted into her new family, the Schuyler's.
Mimi had taken a step outside, slipping out to stand against the ledge of the balcony.
"You strike me as a woman that's never satisfied..."
A sudden voice made the blonde look up, looking at the man that that had spoken to her.
He was a dark skinned man, with his brown hair all up in a ponytail, and he was all dressed up in a sailor outfit.
"I'm sure I don't know what you mean, you forget yourself..."
"You would like me," He stated, leaning against the rail a few feet beside her. "I'm never satisfied..."
"Is that right?" She asked, looking into his eyes... Intelligence.
He nodded softly, looking into the distance, "I've never been satisfied..."
She smirked, taking a step back to bow down to him respectfully, "My name is Mimi Schuyler."
"Asylum Weaver..."
"Where's your family from..?" She asked him, leaning her head against her hands.
His hands began to fidget, and he flashed her a smile, "Unimportant, there's a million things I haven't done... Just you wait..."
Those last words ended the conversation as he walked away, wonder in his eyes.
The conversation only lasted about two or three minutes, but it was one of the most memorable conversations she ever had in her entire life.
Her face burned as she walked back over to her sisters.
A sudden arm from the crowd pulled her close, realizing that it was her sister Sari.
She looked absolutely helpless.
Her face was completely flushed red as she looked wide eyed at someone in the crowd.
Asylum.
A small smirk grew on Sari's face as she looked at her older sister. "This one's mine~"
Mimi felt her heart sink and shatter to the floor.
But she knew her sister like she knew her own mind...
Making her way across the room, Mimi forced a smile as she disappeared into the crowd.
Sari began to worry, wondering what she was going to do. She watched as her sister took the man by the arm, feeling a bit of sadness.
But than his eyes were locked onto hers.
And suddenly, she was helpless.
The two faced each other, and Sari bowed at his presence.
"Sari Schuyler, it's a pleasure to meet you..."
"Schuyler?"
"My sister..." Mimi explained.
Sari stood up strait, smiling politely, her face bright red. "Thank you for all your service."
Asylum smiled, flashing her a small grin as he took her hand in his, "If it takes fighting a war for us to meet, it will have been worth it."
He placed a gentle kiss on her hand.
"I'll leave you too it..." Mimi chuckled, before leaving them alone.
He was right... you will never be satisfied...
