Toast knew from the beginning of class that today wasn't going to go well.
It had been hard for the young Brit to say goodbye to his home, his girlfriend Mary, and all of his friends and family, and move to America and attended a new high school.
It honestly wasn't that bad, many students already liked him, especially the girls.
But it didn't feel right. Toast didn't really have a real close friends.
Entertaining class, he always had someone waiting to sit next to him, but it was so awkward. It was just casual small talk. None of them seemed to have any similar interests to his.
Today, he decided to sit at a seat away from other people as possible.
Class began as usual. Toast was having trouble focusing. He was watching all the his classmates whispering to each other, or passing notes.
He felt this eyes grow sore, and he quietly raised his hand to ask to use the restroom.
Once out of the room, he speed-walked towards the boys bathrooms, not wanting anyone to see him.
Right now, he just wanted to go, back with Marry, back with his grandmother, and be with people that truly loved him.
Toast was so sucked into his own thoughts, that he didn't even see someone walking out of the bathroom stalls, and collided into them with a thud.
Opening his glossy eyes in shock, Toast gasped when we made eye contact with the person he had just bummed into.
He looked to be younger than him, and had fluffy brown hair that covered his bright brown eyes, that were now locked onto his.
The younger boy stuttered out a reply, his voice shaking with fear, "I-I'm so sorry, I wasn't looking where I was-"
"N-No, no, I'm sorry, that was completely my fault," Toast interrupted the kid as he reached out a hand, offering to help him. "Here, let me help you..."
The boy hesitated, but timidly took his hand, and letting Toast help him back on his feet.
"U-Um, Thanks..." The brunette mumbled, awkwardly standing in front of Toast, analyzing his face, "Did I hurt you? You're crying..."
"Huh? Oh..." Toast said as he wiped his eyes, "N-No, y-you didn't, it was-... It's nothing..."
"I haven't seen you here before, are you a new student..?" The kid asked.
Toast nodded, "Y-Yeah... I'm Johnny Toast..."
"I'm also Johnny... J-Johnny Ghost actually... I-I just prefer Ghost though..."
Toast chuckled at their names, "Well, sorry for bumping into you like that..."
"It's fine..." Ghost trailed off a bit, thinking of his next words, " U-Um, Well if you need someone to show you around the school, I could help you... B-But I'm sure you already have settled in already..."
"Actually..." Toast smiled a bit, "I don't actually have many real friends... Perhaps we could hang out sometime..."
Ghosts eyes lit up, "Y-You'd wanna hang out with... with me?"
"I mean, yeah! If that's okay..."
"Yeah... That's perfectly fine!" Ghost blushed, smiling at the cute British boy.
