The sound of the door opening, and a cool breeze suddenly rushing into the warm room, made Sari awaken from her sleep on the couch.

Looking up, she could only get a glimpse of a figure as they carefully closed the door behind them as they walked outside. Curious, she slowly stood up, walking toward the window to see who it was, and where they were going.

Through the darkness of the night, she could see a familiar face. Her friend Asylum sat on the porch steps, and looking up into the night sky.

She smiled, leaning her elbows on the window frame as she looked at him from afar. Something about him was just so alluring and mysterious. She simply adored him.

Her eyes widened when she watched him suddenly move, and grab an instrument that was on one of the steps. It was a lute, a stringed instrument.

He held it in his hands, his fingers playing with some of the strings as they each made different sounds, until he had created a rhythm, that eventually started to sound like a song.

She had no idea he knew how to play an instrument. He never mentioned a liking for music before, let alone actually play anything.

Listening to music, she became mesmerized by the sounds.

When he suddenly stopped, she frowned, and watched him as he quickly put down the instrument while letting out a frustrated sigh.

Sari decided to go talk to him.

Taking a step outside, the pirate turned to find Sari close the door behind her. A look of embarrassment came upon his face as she smiled at him, before sitting down on the porch step, sitting beside him.

"What are you doing out here in the cold all by yourself?" Sari asked quietly, glancing over at him.

"Just... Looking at the stars..."

Sari looked up into the night sky, seeing the millions and millions of shimmering stars.

She smiled, "That music you were playing was quite beautiful..."

The boy blushed, his eyes wide as she looked at her, "Y-You heard that..?"

The orc just smiled, looking up at the stars.

Asylum stared at her, seeing how she was mesmerized by the stars, and how her face lit up, her eyes glowing brighter than the moon.

He blushed, biting his lip nervously, "My mom taught me a little when I was living on the ship..."

Looking at him, his breath was taken away as she looked surprised, her face faintly pink.

"Your mother..?"

He nodded his head, shrugging a bit,"Yeah... It was a long time ago... I'm surprised I remembered how to play..."

"Do you know any other songs?" Sari asked, smiling shyly.

His heart beat hard in his chest as he looked at her, wonder in her eyes. He slowly picked up the lute from the step, and played with the sings, before he developed a soft song.

He started to hum, until he could find the words to the old song.

"Wise men say
Only fools rush in"

Sari melted at the sound of his voice, never hearing him sing before. She immediately fell in love with the sound.

"But I can't help falling in love with you"

Her eyes widened, her face going red as she silently gasped, however, he just smiled at her shyly, continuing the song.

"Shall I stay?
Would it be a sin
If I can't help falling in love with you?"

He sifted closer to her, his body swaying a little as he played. She shivered, getting chills as he got closer, and the sound of the music got louder.

"Like a river flows
Surely to the sea
Darling, so it goes
Some things are meant to be"

He continued the song, his face flushed red as he just smiled shyly at her as the song came to an end.

"Take my hand,
Take my whole life, too
For I can't help falling in love with you"

As the song closed, he looked up at her, her eyes wide and locked onto his, her expression shocked, and her face tinted with a warm blush.

He shifted closer, shyly looking down, "So yeah..."

Warm hands suddenly grabbed his face, and slowly pulled him closer, making him face to face with Sari. Her expression blank and her lips parted, she stared deeply in his eyes, leaning in closer.

Their faces pressed up together, and their lips softly brushed over each other.

"Sari..." Asylum's warm breath flowed against her skin as he muttered her name out, his eyes closing shut as he leaned into her.

She slowly pressed their lips together, kissing him passionately.

Asylum melted into the kiss, and slowly deepened it as he carefully wrapped his arms around her neck, kissing her back. The embrace as they kiss made him feel safe, and warm.

He never wanted this moment to end.
