She was like a shadow in that house. Nobody would notice a woman who was tasked to do the household chores. Her boss was always busy with work. She even doubted if he knew her name or if he was aware of her presence in his home. Aside from the butler, she was the only servant living there. The man was a recluse and didn't want a big staff accommodating his needs thus, it was only the butler, his chauffeur and her, the housekeeper. She was hired by his mother to manage the house and was told to strictly comply with house rules. For months since she started, she liked the job.

But what made her like it even more was because of him.

To the outside world, he was that successful young businessman that everybody looked up to. He was the respectable business tycoon, but at home, she knew his crazy secrets. She would lurk in the dark and watch him. She would watch the way his muscles move as he dumped the bodies, the way he would grunt and pant when he was done. And it always sent a delicious shiver down her spine. Her boss, The Ripper. Nobody knew about the identity of the serial killer going about in the night, but she knew.

She never felt like this, not even with her past boyfriend who was now in prison. She would watch her shirtless boss and she would touch herself, imagining it was his long, silky fingers touching her, those hands roaming all over her body. She could imagine how those strong arms would wrap around her as he pounds into her, sending her to incredible heights. And she wanted it in the ruthless way he did it with them, his deserving victims – and she was sure that the pleasure she would have will never be enough.

Perhaps, her prayers were answered when he found her down the hall of his house. She was supposed to be invisible when he was around – a strict instruction by his mother, who always seemed to worry about her son as she now lived with a new husband in Spain. But her errand to replace the linens in his room caught her in a compromising situation when he saw her. She was nervous and excited at the same time.

Holding the linens in both hands, she kept her eyes down when he passed by. But her eyes widened when she saw him stop in front of her.

"Madelaine."

He knew her name!

She didn't move. Her heart was beating wildly against her chest. Her breath hitched when he stepped forward and was now standing very close to her.

"Look at me."

She did. He was the devil incarnate; the most beautiful creature she had ever seen, and being in front of him was making her wet in an instant, her nipples getting hard. Yes, she was getting excited.

"You don't think I know what you were doing, do you?" he asked in his deep, quiet, menacing voice. He thought he could scare her? If only he could come closer and whisper in her ear, she would come right there and then. Oh, she really got it bad with this man! She knew that he would be far better and more challenging than her former beau. This man in front of her had done despicable things that nobody would expect from him, and it amazed her how his angelic face could hide the villainous side of him. His infamous bedimpled smile could close business deals and open women's legs. The latter was what she wanted to do right now.

"They deserved it," she replied.

He gave a low chuckle. To her surprise, he grabbed her neck and pushed her against the wall. She dropped the linens and her hands instinctively grabbed the hand that was encircling her throat. But she was not afraid. His sudden movement aroused her even more. She returned his look and waited, silently daring him to do something.
